I saw an interview with Joe Quesada regarding the death of captain America where he discussed that though there was a time in comics where death was merely temporary, that time is now past, and that characters stay dead.

Meanwhile, he's been in charge during about as many ressurections/he's not really dead storylines as I can ever recall.

So, can we make a somewhat complete record of which characters have either been brought back to life or have returned claiming that it was a clone that died or some other wacky excuse since Quesda was put in charge?

I'll start...

Bucky
Red Skull
Colossus
Hawkeye

please add if you got em...

the thing..

spidey...sort of,in "the other."

I saw an interview with Joe Quesada regarding the death of captain America where he discussed that though there was a time in comics where death was merely temporary, that time is now past, and that characters stay dead.

For fairness sake, make a list of characters that have been killed off under Quesada's run that have come back.

Actually, it doesn't matter to me...if they were "dead" 15 years ago and Quesada brought them back, then thats the same 9as far as my current discussion goes) as killing someone and bringing them back 6 months later.

Except, its a different thing altogether.

I disagree. He said the time of bringing dead characters back to life was past but he has brought several dead characters back to life. What difference does it make who killed them?

Because, he's bring back characters that were killed off long before he was there. What he said more specifically was, that he always tells his writers that if theyre going to kill someone off, that it mean something. So, he is talking specifically about characters under his watch. Don't misquote the man, theres enough reasons to ***** about him than having to twist his words, he does that enough himself.

And really who expected Red Skull to stay dead (though technically, he still is).

So the deaths before he took over mean nothing:huh:

He's a hypocrite in that sense, but thats not what he was trying to get across. The thread starter really should post the interview so you get a better clue as to what Quesada was talking about.

I'm still pissed Mar-Vell is back so dont got there girlfriend.

What's the point of this thread, exactly? Are you trying to prove that JQ is doing something that he said you shouldn't do. He is. So what? Anything else?

Like Darth said, in that Cap interview what Quesada is saying is that deaths and resurrections shouldn't be frivolous. He doesn't say that they shouldn't be done. His "dead is dead" stance lasted all but a couple of weeks, like many of his "stances" on stuff. It's Joe Q.

We all know "dead is dead" was a crock. This thread doesn't have a whole lot of point to it beyond opening the doors to more *****ing against Joe Q, and that crops up in pretty much every other Marvel thread enough anyway.

The point of this thread is that i want a list of people who were dead but no longer are dead.

Some may say that I shouldnt be told what characters are no longer dead...I say that this is a public forum and we can discuss whatever we feel like discussing.

Maybe...just maybe...I'm not here to bash Joe...maybe I simply want a list of which dead characters aren't dead anymore...For instance, maybe I'm going to write a proposal, but since I thouught Psylocke was still dead i was peeved that i couldnt use her...but I've now learned that I can.

PS: Bringing back characters who've been dead for 20 years just because a new guy is in charge is the HEIGHT of bad caretaking over a universe. You're basically saying "because I didnt make the decision, the decision doesn't count".

Spider-Man is the one that jumps out to me. Although many people ignore the fact that he died.
