Are there any other Charmed fans on the board? The show is down to its final 6 episodes, the series finale airing in mid/late May. What are people's thoughts as the series comes to a close?

Ummm.....it was a good show, that gradually declined to mediocre, then sub par, and then what it is now, which is crap in it's purest form. Angel was better.

I saw one episode one day when I was flipping thorught the channels they fought jason he had a chainsaw.

As Q alluded to, the show has steadily deteriorated. The series used to be smart and funny with relatively strong stories. At some point, it began to take itself to seriously, adding random components and twists. It kinda blows now.

I always thought it sucked. Alyssa Milano was great eye candy though

I think it's the exact reverse. The show doesn't take itself seriously enough now.

I've always been a Charmed fan and will watch it until the end, which isn't very far off, but the latest episodes never stand up to the earlier ones such as Morality Bites and Deja Vu All Over Again.

Agreed and then some. It was a crime Angel was cancelled before this show.

Thank God it's over.
It sucks that this show manages to stay on the air for 18737 years while a good show like Angel gets cancelled.

Reminds me of the best night of television a while back.
WB Wednesday.
Smallville at 8/7c and Angel at 9/8c.

^I agree.

Angel was better, I agree. But Charmed has left a Legacy, and many fans. I'm disappointed yet relieved it is going away. :( (I personally believe the show began to flop when Paige was introduced, I hate Rose McGowan)

The thing that Buffy, and to a larger degree Angel, succeeded at alot where Charmed failed, was the morals. When Angel and Buffy got preachy, they did it DAMNED well. Angel's speech on showing the "big brother" types in the world that they don't own us was just every so well written. With Charmed, they came off as cheesy and like Pax TV but with swearing. More so in the later seasons.

I thought this was going to go for another couple of seasons. I enjoy it, some episodes are bad though. Its on everyday on LivingTV and I watch some days. They shouldn't have killed of Cole, he would have been an excellent character for the final season.

I liked the show & am sad that they are ending the series. If WB ever cancels Smallville or the series ends because they decided to end it then I won't be left with anything much to watch. I hope my cable company will carry the EW network when they merge WB & UPN later this year or I won't be getting to watch Smallville anymore either way.

IMO, Charmed still deserves our attention throughout their final 6 episodes. As a tribute to its 9 season run.

Some spoilers for the final episode (if anybody cares)
the Charmed finale covers 80 years in the girls' lives, from the 1970s to around 2050 with numerous stops in between. Most of it is told from the POV of Piper and Leo, but Phoebe and Paige are hardly marginalized. In fact, one of them gets married.
"Prue's memory will be kept alive and be honored, but we didn't ask Shannen to come back... The show is more about the sisters who are here, not the one who's not." Kern said during the set visit that many of the fans' favorite characters from the past will be returning. The three sisters' grandmother and mom (Penny and Patty), the "future Chris" and others will be joining the end of the show for the wedding of Phoebe. "In one scene we will have 12 characters," Kern said. "It will include family from the past and also future generations to show that the life of Charmed will go on, even if it's not on TV.

Yeah, so sad. but Kaley Cuoco is hot. Shouldn't they just spin her off into her own series where she goes to Magic School?

Anyway, they should have never killed off Prudence Halliwell.

It was a mediocre show, with a few bright spots that got worse after Doherty got the boot. Now they act as if the person who led the show for 3 seasons has never existed. The villains are one-dimensional and uninteresting. The stories are cheesy and too gimmicky.Alyssa Milano is hot.Oh,wait thats not a bad thing. But her character changes boyfriends every season, and theyre all pretty much just eye candy.Overall, after 9 seasons and years of wondering why the show was still on the air,my reaction is a resounding "meh".

Like most Shows it was great at first but after a while it got bad. Might tune in to the Finale

I'd watch the finale if Prue appeared, but whatever.

Prue will "NOT" appear according to one of the producers. But they will use some flashback scenes as a tribute to her memory.

I thought that, in the first few seasons, the villains were a bit more interesting. The fear demon guy for one, and a few others who were rather decent. Not many had much depth, but still.

It pissed me off Angel got cancelled and this got to stay.

Honestly, it just seemed like they were harping on angel/buffy storylines;
