Charmed

It pissed me off Angel got cancelled and this got to stay.

Honestly, it just seemed like they were harping on angel/buffy storylines;
Charmed came before Angel didn't it, not the other way around?

Buffy came before Charmed, and Angel was on Buffy.

I think Angel and Charmed showed up at about the same time.

why was it that pheobe was always loosing her powers

Eh, I never followed Charmed, but if I happened to tune in on it I always found it enjoyable. The three stars being incredibly hot helped a lot though, I will admit.

Hey guys, I'm new here.

Right now in Greece they are showing the 7th season of charmed.

Could anyone tell me in a few words what happens in the 8th season???

I don't want the series to end. I have seen it from the first episode and I really like it!!!!!!!!!!!

Althought I liked what I read in the spoiler in the first page.......

She wasn't always losing them.

She had them taken away from her for abusing them, and she's since only gained one of her powers back.

Two new characters are introduced. Sister witches Billie and Christie. Christie was raised by demons, and is still in fact evil. She aims to convince Billie that the sisters are abusing magic and need to be stopped. Eventually Billie and Christie will turn against the sisters.

Paige gets married, Leo goes bye bye, and Phoebe is still trying to find love.

Thanks for the info.

Leo goes bye bye?????????????

Wow, what exactly do you mean??????? He dies or something????

I'll sum it up for you, in spoiler tags....:D

The angel of death appears to the Charmed ones, so Piper becomes paranoid she is gonna die. Billie chases down the demon that took her sister, and comes across a different demon that traps his enemies in suspended animation. The sisters find out that the Angel of Death is going after Leo, so a spell is cast (and goes awry) making every man in San Fransico look like Leo. Well, the angel still finds him, and Leo basically gets hit by a car, and taken to the hospital. The Charmed ones investigate, and summon the Avatars and Elders to find out why he had to die. They are then are told to summon the Angel of Destiny, and they do so. The Angel says that there is still one big battle on the horizon, one that the Charmed ones may not survive. But if Leo was gone, they might have enough pain of loss to win the fight. The Sisters bargain with the Angel, and have Leo (who is near death, in the hospital) taken to the demon who uses suspended animation. Leo becomes frozen. The Angel says if they win this final battle, Leo will come back to them.

It's good, but not the best Buffy/Angel quote ever. The best has to be.....

SPIKE: "You're a wee little puppet man!"

Spike is probably my favorite Buffy/Angel character. I liked how, after he got a soul, he was depressed and crazy for a week, and then went back to being more or less exactly how he had been before he got a soul, as apposed to Angel's complete 180 in terms of personality. Suggests, to me at least, that while Spike isn't as heroic, he's inherently a better person than Angel.

Spike's ok. Not my favorite though. My fav. is either Angel or Fred. I never new how much I liked Fred until she left. I nearly had a breakdown that episode. And Angel has always had that "mysterious yet kind" aura about him that makes him likeable.

I like Angel, but there's one issue of his that they never adressed. That being that he's severely ****ed in the head. Think about it. Spike gets a soul, he's depressed and crazy for a week (and most of the crazy came from the First messing with him), and then he's back to the way he was before he got his soul. Angel does a complete 180 in personality when the soul is forced on him. He's got major psychological issues. It's been said before than when a person becomes a vampire, it doesn't add anything to their personality. It simply makes them notice things that were already there. Angel's got serious mental problems, and it would have been interesting if they explored that a bit more in depth.

Hmmm. Good point. That would've been interesting.

A good way they could have handeled this is to have started having Angelus come to the surface even without Angel loosing his soul. I mean, the differences between his two states of mind are so huge, I'd think that it's a sign of multiple personality disorder, with his loosing his human soul as the trigger. Normally, a vampire's personality isn't that hugely different from his or her personality as a human. Simply an extention of his or her inner most desires. Meaning, deep down, Angel is a sadistic mass murderer. He just needed the right trigger for his psychosis. Might have been interesting to see him really start to loose it, and have his Angelus tendancies bubble to the surface when he had his human soul. They did this occasionally, but never to the extent that they could have taken it to.

Thanks Kazaire.I loved Anya's reaction, which is why I found it siggable.:)

As for Angel,I think they did a well enough job exploring the Angelus aspect of his personality.Particularly in season 2.But thats for another thread.

Did anybody happen to watch Charmed last Sunday? If not here's the important thing you missed:
The remaining Triad killed Billie/Christie's parents, so Christie killed him, and he said she had passed the final test

And they probably didn't, IMO, because Joss wanted to keep Angel sympathetic. It's hard to keep viewer sympathy for a psychotic mass and serial murderer.

Oh, it's quite possible. Just have him realize that he is severely ****ed up in the head by nature, becoming a vampire simply worsened that, and now he's trying to make up for it. It basically would have been exactly as the series was, except a good deal more psychological.
