finally have my first big repair as a homeowner; need a new aquastat.

for parts and labor, it's going to be about $526. good thing I saved my stimulus check for home things. This will take almost half of it. So far the only part of it I spent was on paint and paint supplies, and a shovel.
Hope this is the only big ticket problem I have for a while.

Heading to the job tonight as well as a run to the store in the afternoon... Lots out in NYC these days. Most were taking precautions about spreading Covid too. Still... LOTS of folk. Shows we are easing back into regular life I suppose.

we have gif threads. we have youtube threads. i hate coming in here most of the time because when i expect to see any semblance of discussions, my browser and i are bogged down with gifs and videos that have no context

and i guess because i' am at least 17% a hypocrite, i was browsing some film art and stumbled across this guys Custom Covers for movies.
I'm almost tempted to print some of these to replace covers I have because some are significantly better than studio releases.
