Chris Pratt and Danny McBride take on Knight Rider

Sorry but Danny McBride better not be the voice of kitt. Can't they just use the original voice actor he's still around.

That would be a deal breaker. Fart and d**k joke making KITT is just too kitschy for me

A comedy version would be nice. I felt Green Hornet was a decent movie and it did pretty good in theaters for when it came out ($98M and in January), just the 3D cost was why it didn't get a sequel. And it kinda felt like a one-off type of movie...

Have they not learned their lessons from that failed reboot TV show?

I wish that movie was better. I always thought it was cool when genre actors switch the style up.

Chris Pratt? I'll take it. Danny McBride? No thanks.

As a Knight Rider fan, I'm not sure how I feel about this.

I wouldn't mind a 21 Jump Street style take on this. In fact, I think that might be the best route.

However, I don't think I want Danny McBride as K.I.T.T.

The comedy, as in the series, should come from Michael, and K.I.T.T.'s dry, dead pan responses to it.

I agree. Pratt alone should be the one who provides humor, and not both Pratt and McBride. And KITT isn't supposed to be cracking jokes; it's a machine!

If this happens, I would demand they re-create this classic:

Ugh.What's so tough about getting the Hoff back, sitting Danials down to record for KITT,and give us the REAL Knight Rider after years of this reboot crapola.

In 20 years, are we going to see a comedy version of Law and Order: SVU?

That's basically the only thing that would make me interested in a knight rider movie. :o

This sounds like a pretty bad idea to me aside from Pratt which I don't have an issue with McBride on the other hand, no thank you sir.

Pratt's star is pretty much rising and the dude is so likeable I actually take no issue with him being cast as the lead for any fictional white dude.

A "comedy" version of Knight Rider wouldn't get my money with a Gun or Knife in a dark alley at 2:00 AM.

EDIT, wrong actor.

Also didn't Will Arnett voice a Knight Rider car?

He was supposed to do it for the rebooted series, but there was a conflict between Mustang and Chevrolet, because Arnet was doing voiceover work for Chevy commercials.

Jack Ryan didn't do all that well though. Other than Star Trek and the Denzel Washington movie where he was second banana, he hasn't really had a big hit.

Are confusing Pratt and Pine?
