When I started up my Letterboxd some months back, there was one drunk night where I made it a point to rate every movie I've ever seen. I kind of regret doing that but it was driving my OCD crazy seeing some of my movies with star ratings and not all of them.

I've had mine since 2019 but I never felt like going through every movie I've seen until recently. It took me about two months to catalog all my movie ratings and reviews from my old posts on the Hype going back to 2009 and reviews/ratings from RT which I stopped using after I got my letterboxd account.

It so was exhausting but I'm glad I did it. :o

What I did to log all the stuff I've seen was to look everything up by year starting from the 1920s/1930s and worked my way back (to the future). In doing so I realized there were a few comedy flops starring some A-list comedians that I had not just forgotten seeing but I had also forgotten they even existed, like:

So shoutout to Letterboxd for jogging the old memory.

There was a family movie that I remember renting from blockbuster in the early 00s but completely forgot the name of it. For the longest time, I just assumed it was the movie RV even though the year it came out was much later but going through letterboxd I found out it was Tourist Trap from 98 which has Daniel Stern, Paul Giamatti, and an early Ryan Reynolds.

I'm sure there's at least a couple of long-forgotten Disney Channel movies that I haven't logged yet. I'm not talking stuff like Zenon or Johnny Tsunami either, I'm talking real under the radar stuff like that movie with Amy Jo Johnson where she played the ghost of a girl who died in the '50s.

Oh sh** Susie Q? I remember hearing about it but I never saw it.

What's great with letterboxd are the user lists where you can find obscure stuff that we have all forgotten about.

I definitely watched it as a kid but I haven't logged it yet. I can't remember much about it but if AJJ was in it it's gotta be worth at least two stars. :o

I just updated my watchlist with the remaining 2024 movies I still need to check out. It's gonna be a busy couple of months. Definitely got my work cut out for me in that dead zone week between Christmas and New Year's.

Started mine up back in 2021 or so, then lost track. I’ve been updating it for the past couple of weeks.

I’ve had one since the Summer of 2019. It’s an addiction.

Anyone ever forget to log something they've seen a loooong time ago on Letterboxd and think, "How in the hell did I forget this one?" I have no idea how but that just happened to me with Tombstone. :o

So this is what happened to the cinephiles from IMDb. :o

Yeah, no work is getting done today from me.

I'm really going through my memory banks thinking of all the movies I've ever seen. Damn you Kane. :sneeze:
