Perhaps you just have very low standards.
Or perhaps you have unrealistic standards.

The only thing I genuinely liked about this film was Ralph Fiennes. Although it annoys me that yet another movie paints Hades as an evil god.
Maybe someday we'll get a faithful adaptation of the character. Perhaps if Tarsem's Immortals is successful.
Lo, for this tale's digital discus hath not arrive'th'd to this humble knight's village. Soon, hath I been told by the local discus merchant...very soon!
Yet preceding the arrival of this celluloid spectacle, this humble knight shall reside night and day, within'eth a portable canvas shelter and chairs which cockle, upon the gum be-speckled steps of thy discus merchant!
Verily, for this knight's campaign of camping shall insure that I be'ith at the lead of the queue to purchase this discus of The Clash of Thy Titans
This post now conclude'th!
As a fan of Greek mythology who has fond memories of the original, this film disappointed me greatly. I hate the revisions they added to the mythology, such as Perseus's denouncement of his father Zeus, the villaineous role given to Hades (who actually assisted Perseus in the original story), and the romance he had with Io. On top of that, both the fight against Medusa and Kraken were rather subpar and lacked any suspense or threat. Unfortunately, since the movie makes enough money to make WB happy, we will be getting a sequel that will be more of the same. I'm not going to see it in theatre, that's for sure.
Only kind of help Perseus received from Hades was a helm for invisibility and that was in the actual myth. It happens in the original except I think he receives it from someone else.
Don't forget he got his wings so he could fly from Hermes.
Agreed.
It's similar to how most of those angel/biblical films of the past 10-20 years have all made Gabriel turn against God and the other angels, one i've seen had Michael turn too. It just boggled my mind that multiple films have had Gabriel turn evil let alone any angel.
If someone makes another one of those films I want it to be an epic battle with angels and demons not some story about another angel who turns on god.
Anyways, i'm surprised people liked this film so much. It really wasn't good.
