I would slowly take apart Bubo while he flapped his wings in distress.

It was decent...entertaining anyway. But the one major thing that bothered me about the film (as I said in another thread) is that it was just way too easy for the main character. Never once did I feel that his quest was a struggle. I did have other issues with it, but that was the main one.

Yeah, I know what you mean, he at least could have gotten a few more injuries, but he was a demi-god I suppose, I am just interested to see were they go in the sequel, will they bring new Titans into it or will just be a war between the gods?

Just saw this on Blu-Ray. I thought it was decent. This felt just like Percy Jackson to me though. It lacked the epicness factor - if that makes sense. Other than Hades you never got the feeling like any of the gods were a threat.

This movie sucked. It lacked everything a movie should have. Good action, good story, good characters, good acting....boring crap.

This movie pisses me off because I KNOW theres so much missing. The film FEELS like a recut. The whole movie felt pointless.

Yeah I know what you mean, it did seem a bit easy for him, hopefully he gets a few more challenges in the sequel, and gets to actually battle with some Titans as well.

Can't say what has already been said. But yeah, this movie really is a train wreck. Sure it did have some entertaining action scenes but it lack the emotional depth and development for Perseus that should've been the driving force of this movie. It's a shame, the version that could have been good vanished after the massive rewrites and re-shoots.

What I didn't get is that the film went thru like this Silver grey ashen look... why in ilahi's name was this done croc-kett, I remember you discussed this film before hand with the public crowd and how they raged forward about the bulls and the CG cobwebs and golden butts built for the film design. None of which was used. It just makes no sense that such historical acurate necessary interpretations of these beasts has to be confused and convulated by themillions spent on trying to bamshee and hupti them into sethus...

They should have just did a "special-edition" of the original...

What I wanted to know is what prompted the re-writes and re-shoots, judging from the deleted scene's its not like what was there already was terrbile or anything, this whole thing is very bizarre IMO.

Same thing happend to The Incredible Hulk.....LL must be the only director to never actually make a real movie...lol.

Sigh... I seen this over the weekend, nothing mind-blowing, but it was more fun and entertaining than I expected from all the reviews and fan Poo-Pooing about "horrible remakes". I watched the original film again not that long ago and where it is was wrapped in pure cheese and was very stagy, the remake is the better film (better effects, action sequences, better acting, etc.). Personally, this is one of those Rose Colored glasses deals with fans not accepting films from over 20 years ago are dated and cannot accept remakes for their own stupid selfish reasons. Not saying this film was awesome, but it's no where near as bad as I heard.

7/10

Pretty much my view of the movie, nothing special, but a good piece of entertainment, pretty much like the original was in its day.

The acting in the original was pretty poor as well, the acting in this seemed to be better, Mikkelsen, Arterton, Neeson, Davalos and Ralph were all pretty decent.

i wish we could get the real version of this movie, it seems so much better from what ive read.

The only thing I genuinely liked about this film was Ralph Fiennes. Although it annoys me that yet another movie paints Hades as an evil god.

Maybe someday we'll get a faithful adaptation of the character. Perhaps if Tarsem's Immortals is successful.

He was pretty Grey in Xena and Hercules. Till those final seasons when they went off the rails and had Xena turning Godkiller.

JUST won a copy of the Blu-ray DVD combo pack in a Twitter contest! MAN am i happy. To cellebrate, here's a video of the best scene of the movie!

Perhaps you just have very low standards.

I liked it, editorially it needs work, but good entertainment.

Just think of how cool it would be to see these guys adapted to the big screen:

Random question: Did the Ancient Geeks really have beards that... curly? It looks like they took a Judge's wig and glued it to their faces.

It was a cosmetic thing I guess, anyway, that is how they were painted on their sculptures, wall painting etc.
