Well, off the top of my head...

Michael Pitt
Chris Pine
Zachary Quinto
Joseph Gordon Levitt
Patrick Wilson
Bradley Cooper
Ryan Phillipe
Tobey Maguire
Garrett Hedlund
Elijah Wood
Jake Gyllenhaal

But yeah, America is a talent-free zone. Let's keep casting actors as Americans who think an American accent sounds similar to Czech accent.

Hate to break it to you, but all of those actors except Hedlund are 28+. That isn't really "young." They're grown ass men.

:o

There are a lot of good, young American actors. Just you won't see them in any mainstream flicks. The only roles guys get in their early twenties are as teenagers and they only headline if it's a sidekick or Transformers like movie.

The only two to have broken out are LaBeouf and Cera.

It's just as bad for females cause they only headline horror flicks in their early twenties.

Fun fact: Ray Harryhausen, the man who did the special effects for Clash of the Titans (and others), is one of the greatest stop-motion animators of all time. I had the amazing pleasure of meeting this man, and got his autograph. It was an experience I'll never forget.

I met him too. He was a great guy.

Hell, look at this board alone. Whenever a casting call thread comes up, a massive amount of the names bandied around are usually not even from the states, so that says something.

Yeah, but we also name the same actresses/actors for multiple roles. So that may say more about the inbreed nature of the kinds of films we see.

And Sam Worthington is 33. If he's considered "young" then so are the rest of these guys.

Bingo. It doesn't matter the nationality... some actors resonate with fans and they get rumored for a billion roles.

Sam Worthington has been rumored for Green Lantern and Captain America.

Henry Cavill has been rumored for GL, Superman, Batman and James Bond.

Angelina Jolie has been rumored for every female comic book character every created.

I never said America was talent free. I said there is very few 20 something actors who are actually any good. Sure they've got the looks, but the ability? Like I said, very few have both.

And I've yet to be proved wrong.

But maybe I should rephrase. Barely any decent young American actors are getting the breaks because your TV and movie producers (a lot of the time, not all the time) just want a good looking or bad boy. And will cast a face who hasn't got ability and someone with real ability gets screwed over.

What i noticed is that in America, you don't have to be a stage trained actor to make it big. Hell, you don't even have to have gone to acting school in any degree...you can just be famous for being famous, and work your way up to superstar status; whereas alot of British actors are stage trained, which is why i feel that when comparing US vs UK, the UK has much better acting talent.

I think you have to also make a distinction between actors and movie stars. Movie stars can turn in great performances, but they are mostly based on their fantastic charisma. Guys like Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant, and Steve McQueen basically played themselves in every movie, but had such tremendous personalities that they turned in great performances.

^QFTMFT! I'd put Arnie in that category.

Yes, Arnold would definitely be in that category. My problem with Worthington is that, from what I've seen of him, isn't that he's a bad actor, but he has absolutely no charisma. He seems so dull.

It seems the new teaser trailer that was with Sherlock Holmes was changed from the original one that was released online.

They also got rid of TITANS WILL CLASH and changed it to DAMN THE GODS.

Hmm, did they realize how ******ed THE TITANS WILL CLASH sounds?

what about jensen ackles and jared padelecki?

Jared? He's been in one movie....and it wasnt even an action movie....who cares about him.

What's a Czech accent? I hope this has nothing to do with this films possible success... the main thing to realize and NOTER, not NOTE but notER is that Sam Worthington will not be in blue cinematic form, no one will recognize him... NO ONE... He is not blue anymore as he transformed himself from normal human into prosthetics and make up enhanced blue man

so unfortunately for this film, it won't necessary guarantee a huge opening due to the bad release date, huge budget, and the actor who can't open a film, primarily because people mainly saw him in his blue form and not human form... even with human form he was in wheelchair

So pioples will have hard time believing that he is warrior after seeing how thin his legs are... I think the CGI in this film cost the budget loads as they had to add muscles to his legs and make him run and stand and walk... I hope it's good film though, Leterreirerer does not make very cogent coherent films, HULK CG was very bad and storyline not so good but that was green character and ed norton so no confusion.

Clash of the Titans has big stars but will people mainly flock to see the film because of Liam Neeson... he caused Token to be a huge huge hit film, people saw him and film and liked him and film...

I dissagree with alot in your post, but the highlighted part the most. The cgi in TIH was as good as you could do on a Hulk film and the storyline was quite decent.
