I actually wish that the trailer had ended before it showed the Kraken turn and roar. The money moment is RELEASE THE KRAKEN and its kind of cool to see Pegasus flying around avoiding getting hit, but itd have been cool to save the entire Kraken look for the film itself.

That's the day and age we live in. All trailers need to give away most of the action and money shots sadly.

Yeah, it's a shame. I feel trailer should be more mysterious in how they do it. They do misguide sometimes, sometimes very well with editing.

The Dark Knight trailers threw me off alot. For example, that Wizard World footage of the edits between the fat thug with the bomb phone in his belly glowing cut with Rachel and Dent's faces I always assumed that was the same scene.

Same here.

Like when Nolan talks about how he doesn't like a lot of extras and camermen filming them filming because he likes to preserve that 'movie magic', it seems to go into his trailers as well. Remember the first Batman Begins trailer(or was it the teaser), a lot of people didn't even know it was a Batman film until the end.

It just sucks thinking back to when I was younger and the trailers for movies showed you just enough action to get you interested or excited, then when you watched the movie, there was way more to it.

I think audiences being a bit more fickle these days plays into that though to be fair. With state of the art computer games and obviously the immense advances in CGI big budget films like this have gotta show a lot of money shots and some of the best bits of the film to really impress people you know?

I agree with Nolan. Of course there's a part of me where i want to see footage but another part where I want to be wrapped up in the mystery of the film. Like Inception.

Oh, yeah, I didn't even know they were doing another Batman film when I saw the trailer. but when I heard Bale's voice for some reason it reminded me of Michael Keaton's voice and then I saw Wayne Manor, which again reminded me of the one in B89, and then the old man next to the small boy it kind of clicked with me. Then the flash of Batman and then I knew. Boy, what a great trailer.

Ace, I see what you're saying. Today's audiences, we are all dazzled by big special effects. So there has to be things that doesn't make us go, "Been there, done that."

We complain about seeing too much then the very same night will go online looking for footage. :o

Plus, back then, they released like one trailer. Now we get two and three plus internationals then being here, we search out every tv spot so you will end up seeing a great deal of the movie.

Very true but lately(about the past 6 months roughly)I've been doing good and haven't watched a single behind the scenes video for Avatar. I'm getting better at keeping my hype down so I can go into a movie without having already seen 1/4 -1/2 of it online.

Same here. I've only watched the three minute trailer (everyone should) and that's it. No tv spots or clips for me.

Looks pretty great. And unlike most, I like the music, though I do think it would be nice if they used the score from the movie.

Love the Kraken, I don't know what is supposed to be wrong with how it looks. I'm expecting a totally new movie, I'm not thinking of the original. It will be better that way, just see it as a different take of the legend, than a remake.

So we finally see Medusa in HD. I'm disappointed. Don't know why they couldn't use an actress and enhance her with prosthetics/cg.

Why, they didn't do that in the original film either?

I don't have much a problem with Medusa's movements, but the quick shot near the end shows her with a completely blank face. In the original, the claymation of Medusa was great and she looked like one mean *****. Here, judging from that shot, she couldn't look more bland.

Medusa looks amazing.

They're not gonna show her full on until they work on it some more I think. You know they show some CG in trailers and then when the flick is released it's like a total 180.
