You're right I was only kidding.Too funny!
I thought you were serious for a second.
I have no idea what that Fleischer Superman pic is supposed to prove or disprove. It's still much brighter than the bland SR color corrected Singerman suit.
There is no reasonable person who can honestly claim that the theatrical washed out colors look better than the Sony Imageworks clips. I said reasonable remember.
Besides, I did a search for Fleischer Superman. That exact pic came up many times and each time it had a different brightness. The pic you show appears much darker than all the others. Again, even so, your pic is much brighter than the SR suit. Though it was technicolor in the 1940's they still knew enough to make the suit bright.
Your post proves nothing. If Singer was going after a Fleischer inspired Superman, he failed miserably.
Just because someone doesn't share the same opinion on "color" in a film doesn't mean they are not reasonable either. I happen to like the color in the finished version of the film over the clips shown without the filter.
I'm not saying you are wrong for liking the non-filtered clips. Most in here seem to like it. Nothing wrong with that at all. Certain shots of it did look better than the film but overall I think the finished version works better for me.
For you to say someone is "unreasonable" for liking a version different than you, is an unreasonable statement itself.
not true... I know a supporter who now thinks the suit definitely needs improvementsThe undying SR defenders are usually unwilling to admit any mistakes.

while you were waiting for an answer you could use google.Thank you for clarifying I think. Imageworks is a site or has one?

oh, so Superman was supposed to come across as depressing?
no wonder this film failed...
