The Dark Knight CNBC decribes what a "FANBOY" is! And yes there's a bit of TDK in it too!

O monstrous world! Take note, take note, O world,
To be direct and honest is not safe.

*cries*

Othello told Desdemona "I'm cold, cover me with a blanket"
"By the way, what happened to that poisoned wine?"
She said "I gave it to you, you drank it"
Po' boy, layin' 'em straight
Pickin' up the cherries fallin' off the plate

Since this thread has already ventured into song lyrics, figured I'd go there too. :oldrazz:

well I just saw the trilogy today... I didn't care for the new ones but sigh.. I guess I gotta live with it

Yes, I suppose that's the way to go. I did like Davy, though... being an animator and having seen the technology behind his face at SIGGRAPH last year! It was rather neat-o.

As amazing as the animation was, I felt they went about the whole Davvy Jones crew all wrong and they should have looked like the army of the dead in Return of the king, but thats just me.

See... don't gasp in horror or anything, but I haven't seen that movie. I am turned off by all the hobbit elf stuff because of some LARPERS I once knew. :(

no worries, I can understand

Larpers are very scary (that seems to be the topic of the day)

anyway they looked like this

Bob Dylan is much like Shakespeare in that if you fully understand what he's saying, you either have become enlightened to the true nature of humanity, or you've been breathing toxic mold.

I absolutely LOVED Davy Jones himself; I think he is one of the most incredible CGI characters I've ever seen in my life. His crew on the other hand is good, but not amazingly perfect.

The army of the dead, however, is amazingly perfect.

I think they were trying for something that ethereal but got lost trying to come up with ways to make them look like they belong in the watery depths...

That still you posted there... I'm sure the effects are mind-blowing when in motion in the film, but that single frame looks like it may have come from The Haunted Mansion ride. :P

ya, whenever I pictured Davvy Jones I imagined this ghost pirate with like a phantom ship that like came and went without a trace. The flying dutchman certainly came and went but it was a submarine. I really wanted to keep it simple with pirate theme but NOOOOO they had to add crab people

:wow: that is a scary ass ride!

but seriously they weren't really scary but they were just like dead zombie looking ghosts

If there's anything other than Batman I am a fanperson/scholar/nerd of... it's Tom Waits.

AND... BACK TO THE THREAD TOPIC.

I'm so smooth.

I might be one of the few people who fully understood and liked the whole story and climax of the Pirates movies. It was all about metaphysics.

I liked Lotr's as well.

Ya, I understood it just didn't care for it. I didn't like how they strayed so far from the original movie and how they basically changed Jack Elizabeth and Will all of a sudden

Anyway, it's been a pleasure but I must run.

Tootles for now, everyone!

Hah, that rhymed.

What? You mean you can't?

TDK should be pretty good, if you ask me. If they stick to the script.

=P
