ON topic however, I agree with you that it's preposterous. But, news on the big networks has been preposterous for a while...sensationalistic for the sake of ratings.

I do agree with Cyclops that it's very likely a publicity stunt. But public figures and the newsmedia have always danced the free publicity/ruined reputation line...I didn't see the program you're referring to, but it sounds almost like an Infomercial for the tape! Really disgusting. Time to switch to the BBC(National Public Radio is pretty good too)!
