Those do sound interesting. One tricky thing about doing grad school, is that my prof said they'd expect me to do some teaching on the side, for writing. That would be pretty bizarre. I've only had one writing class.Erzengel said:Well with your degree and inexperience in your field I'm sure you could find work as a research assistant, campaign or survey worker. Not really sure you'd be happy doing something like that but it's work.
I'm sure if you wanted to further your schooling. Jobs such as lobbyists, politicians, or teaching also comes to mind but I guess you could also try interning at some municipal or government offices.

That'd be pretty cool too. Hm, this talk has me kind of looking forward to job searching. I think I'll start monday.Erzengel said:Oh that's another thing if you want to become a journalist or an editor I'm sure you could look for internships at any newspaper or magazine.

I had filled out a partial resumé on there a couple months ago just to check it out. I'll probably update it tonight. It's given me some interesting stuff as is, though nothing super related to my field. I didn't think to put writing as a skill though. We'll see what that does.jaguarr said:A lot of states have a formal Job Service that carry job listings and such, so you might look in to that. Monster.com is also a pretty decent place to look.

No, they just handle my electricity. University of Pittsburgh.Erzengel said:You didn't go to Duquesne did you?
Home gyms, if you're insanely rich enough to set up a complete home gym you're probably also rich enough to make Harvard and Yale come to you as well. As for running and strong men, well there are exceptions; people who are genetically gifted enough who don't need guidance to train and get in shape.jaguarr said:Not to shoot holes in your analogy and all, but what about people with home gyms? Or those who do strong man type training with logs and rocks? Or people who just get out and run their asses off? The fitness club's not the only true option, is all I'm saying. By that token, there are other avenues to pursue besides college such as apprenticeships for example. Just sayin'.

You don't need to be rich. My stuff cost me about 100 bucks total, for the weight bench and weights and a heavy bag.ShadowBoxing said:Home gyms, if you're insanely rich enough to set up a complete home gym you're probably also rich enough to make Harvard and Yale come to you as well. Absolutely.jaguarr said:I have a home gym that's got everything I need, and I'm definitely not insanely rich. And there is plenty of guidance and information freely available on the 'net these days. People can get pretty advanced in their training without ever working with a PT (I know this is a hot button for you because you are a PT, but it's true).
