And it seems you can never win .... there were some scenes with him CG'd and people complained it looked like crap and could have been better. Then there were scenes with him in the suit and people still do not like it.

thanx for the pic. so yeah what i remember is right. his promo pic is basicly how he looks like in the dvd back cover. i dont see how his CG is a "half ass job" u can tell they worked around his eyes so his skin wont show like in that unfinished pic...

In the movie his eyes were CGI'd to match the skin. And I thought it looked cool. IMO, the CGI skin looked kinda fake, I prefer the suit.

What are you talking about? They could definitely have won if he looked like he did in X2.

We barely see him in the actual suit in the movie, he's mostly CG which looks fine. We only see him in the suit from behind when the X-Men are all lined uoin Alcatraz, as far as I remember and he still looks fine. I do remember nearly fainting though when we first saw that above pic because I thought that's howhe'd look in the movie!

There are some inconsistancies between the suit and the cgi though. When he or his stunt double is wearing the suit, it looks as if he had been snacking on junk food between X2 and X3.

Maybe so but when you pay attention to it, its so obvious that the suit adds some bulk versus the cgi. It's one of the things that makes the movie seem unpolished or rushed.

The suit was to save money,so they touched up his effects with another layer of cgi, I think. Im not 100% sure though.

Dude, serious, even the dirt and rocks around him make it look like he's coming out of the ground, and the dead tree in the back (with the fog as well) make it look like a graveyard. His hands out in front of him like that don't help his cause much...

That pic was never meant to leak anyway, it's the same type of pic as the released pics of FF2's Silver Surfer in the green suit and the earlier pics of Doom in his silver muscle suit from FF, it's just a basic template suit. As is it does look crap though, even the suit in the movie looks better and more polished than that.
