Don't talk to me about romance! I once had a three way in a hot air balloon!!!!

I saw that before seeing the episode. Never heard of it before.

And this comment by Scott Mendelson on shippers made me laugh...

Haven't yet seen the episode (it's on DVR, waiting for the wife), but you're dead-on about the weirdly hostile and often show-killing nature of the 'shippers'. They are the idiots who ruined Law and Order: Special Victims Unit by obsessing over whether or not Stabler (a married father of 5-10 kids) and Benson would get together, which slowly but surely turned the show into the Benson/Stabler Adventure-Romance Hour (when's the last time Munch left the office? 2006?). They are the scary people who actually angrily confronted Rashida Jones on the street because she was coming between Pam and Jim on the second/third seasons of The Office. They are the ones who cared more about who was sleeping with who on House as opposed to what medical mystery needed solving.

And, most importantly, they are the reason why I can't look up any remotely well-known song (especially a ballad) on YouTube without finding a bunch of horrifying fan-made romance montages about Angel and Buffy, Kate and Sawyer, Benson and Stabler, Lois and Clark, House and 13, and every one of the 4,000 possible combinations available on Grey's Anatomy (a show I blame for so many shows turning into a 'who will she choose?'/'when will they get together?' soap opera). Go ahead, I dare you to look up any decent Sarah McLachlan song... see what pops up. The horror! The Horror!

I never gave much thought about shippers. I assumed it had more to do with actual relationships, but you read these comments by Scott and Devin and it puts it in a whole new light.

It also included a great sly nod to the hardcore shippers in the audience. Shippers are (in my humble opinion) the weirdest fans of a property. They’re people who obsess over relationships between fictional characters, and in fact usually obsess over relationships that don’t really exist. Kirk/Spock slashfic is a good example of shippers in action.

Cowboys, paintball and Josh Holloway in one amazing package.

I wished they had Britta completely wuss out and not be able to deliver the baby. I like when they show her for the hypocrite she is.

I've noticed Britta becoming a more shrill and annoying 2nd wave feminist stereotype since they more or less ditched her role in the show as Jeff's love interest. I guess the writers had to figure out a new part for her to play in the group dynamic, and that was the most natural.

" I got a good look at him... and hes not better looking than me!" Probably one of Jeff's best lines ever and completely summarizes the character.

I like when Abed was like, "Annie's kinda awesome today."

My God, what a great episode. As a whole, this could be even better than last year's.

Kept waiting for Troy to comment on how he should be the Black Rider.

Great ep. The dean trying to get someone to get the keys out of his short-shorts.

And Troy's perfectly delivered "Dude, you've got problems".
