Outsourced was doing better when it followed The Office. Since moving back an hour to 1030/930 C after 30 Rock the ratings have collapsed. Community should be a 2.0 or higher in A18-49 to be secure. The Office has also seen declines since January.

Here are last week's final numbers

Community
- 3.789 million viewers
- 2.3/4 HH
- 1.8/5 A18-49

Perfect Couples
- 2.888 million viewers
- 1.7/3 HH
- 1.4/4 A18-49

The Office (31 minutes)
- 6.121 million viewers
- 3.5/5 HH
- 3.2/9 A18-49

Parks and Recreation (29 minutes)
- 4.591 million viewers
- 2.7/4 HH
- 2.4/6 A18-49

30 Rock (31 minutes)
- 4.501 million viewers
- 2.7/4 HH
- 2.3/6 A18-49

Outsourced (29 minutes)
- 3.267 million viewers
- 2.0/4 HH
- 1.4/4 A18-49

cool thanks for sharing. I was surprised they moved outsourced to 1030. it's kinda late.

love the avatar by the way. Hamm episodes are always instant classics.:woot:

Can't NBC see all over the internet the massive amounts of sites/hype/love Community has and not worry about ratings since really ratings don't mean **** since 2004?

This isn't 1986 anymore. There are millions of networks now and smart people use hulu, megaupload, torrents and dvds to watch tv now and the dumb people who can't figure those hi-tech things out tune in weekly to CSIx100, A. Idol, 2 and 1/2 Men, Glee, and Outsourced.

Also, they should see how this show mirrors AD and that they need to learn from Fox's mistake.
Well, what you're forgetting, is they don't care what is good or popular. They care about their sponsers, which pays them to keep the company running. When ratings slip, people aren't watching their sponsored commercials. Places like Hulu, torrents, DVR's, etc take those away.

It's not exactly ethical, but that's business for ya......

The entire reason for the bad ratings is all in the scheduling too man. First off that new show Perfect Couples should be the lead in show but given that its new and it needs to be given a chance let it keep its spot at 8:30 est. Instead though, to boost ratings for it I would put Outsourced in the 8pm slot just because it has garnered such a following so far. Keep The Office at 9pm but follow it up with Community, that would boost the ratings for Community right there just having it follow The Office, plus it would break up the monotony of 2 mockumentary style shows back to back. Next have Parks and Rec in the 10pm slot since 30 Rock has been on for so long changing its slot to 10:30 wouldn't hurt it at all. Thats what I would do anyway, but my opinion is biased just because I love Community and Parks and Rec so much.

I would shrink The Biggest Loser to an hour then order 16 episodes of Parks & Rec and Community along with two new comedies. All the shows would air consecutively so there would be no reruns, just a break at Christmas.

TBL airs 32 episodes over two seasons from Sept to May. That opens up two slots on Thursdays as well (hold Outsourced if a show does bomb). TBL followed by a new comedy followed by Community and then after their 16 episodes are over, have a new comedy followed by Parks. Not the ideal situation, you're losing 6-8 episodes of Community but reruns perform horribly and its just skating by. If the ratings grew then the following season the order could be boosted and with 30 Rock/The Office likely ending there would be room on Thursdays to move shows.

what does ethics have to do with it? they are selling a product, and it's not making enough money for them.

I find her ridiculously cute, but not for that.

yeah me too. I have the same reaction the group has.

Because it is a popular show. The main demographic that it appeals to normally uses internet or digital based software to watch the shows, none of which, show up in ratings. Also, the age demographic that it appeals to, rarely use the Nielsen Ratings. How many people in the 18-35 age range take the Nielsen polls, or get the box in their house? Also, from a moral standpoint, the better show should stay, but it isn't the chance all the time, because the Nielsen ratings are kind of a skewed way to look at data in this day in age.

And I said it's a business, that's how it works. What you just said, was my main point. If they're not doing good in the rating, then they will be dropped, regardless of how many torrents, DVR-recordings, or Hulu hits they get, because the network don't get a chance to showcase their sponsors. Maybe you didn't read my post correctly? I dunno.....

i read your post perfectly. it still has nothing to do with ethics. you gotta know what the definition of ethics is.

you can say its archaic, inappropriate, insignificant, or inaccurate way of viewing a fan base or the success of a show as you have mentioned. but there's no moral obligation here. if you are selling a T-shirt that everyone loves, but no one buys, then you don't have a "moral" obligation to keeping selling it at a loss. yes, you have to include online sales and outlet sales in your profit-loss margin, but if you set a definition of a goal, and it falls below it, then you don't have any moral obligation to continue selling a product.

and they include Hulu and DVR-viewers in addition to raw TV viewers. the only one they don't have control over are torrents/pirates. so i don't think its fair to hold them to moral standards while their fan base is stealing their show.

i agree with everything you said. I just don't feel they are "ethically" required to produce a show that is not "successful" in their eyes

Modern Warfare 2 is happening!

Community's Return to Warfare: Exclusive Intel said:
“Come with me if you don’t want paint on your clothes.”

Oh yeah, Community is going all “Modern Warfare” again, and we’ve got some exclusive details on the kickass season-ending showdown.

TVLine has confirmed that “Modern Warfare Redux,” as we have tentatively dubbed it, is definitely in the works (as a Vulture interview hinted last week), and in fact it is going to act as the two-part finale to Community‘s already stellar second season.

But don’t expect a carbon copy of Season 1′s smash hit. Sources close to the show tell us that while they expect fans to identify the episode as a sequel to the first installment, it is meant to be its own entity with a much different premise — à la not the same half-hour “action flick” we laid witness to last year.

This time around, the paintball war is not at all what it seems; there’s a bigger conspiracy afoot. The colorful game is much larger in scope, while the two-parter’s final twist is just too, too good to spoil.

We can reveal that Alison Brie’s Annie is central to the story — after all, poor thing was offed too soon in the original! — and will even face off against her very own nemesis, a student who happens to model herself after Greendale’s goody-goody. But don’t worry, the rest of the study group et al is involved in the fun, too.

As of now, NBC plans to air the new, yet-to-be-titled round of “Warfare” as an hour-long event, but there is still a small chance the network will parse it out over two weeks.

Side note: Check out the faux-news ticker scrolling the bottom of the screen during the February 24 episode. There may have been an Easter egg or two.

YEEEEEEEEEEES!

"This time around, the paintball war is not at all what it seems; there’s a bigger conspiracy afoot."

Please make this episode super awesome and bring back Professor Professorson.

Yeah it's totally going to be Western Warfare.

i afraid that they will not be able to make it as good as the firs paintball episode.

The First paintball episode is still my favorite, It's actually the episode that turned the show around for me. I watched the first few episodes, wasn't that thrilled with the show, and randomly caught the paintball episode, and thought it was extremely hilarious. Haven't looked back since.
