That was a pretty pitch-perfect episode. I didn't laugh in the first 2 minutes, so I figured it'd be another "off" episode like last week....but it was actually the perfect slow build to comedy gold. Each alternate universe was funnier than the last for me until we reached the one with the shooting and fire. Great episode.

the evil timeline, or super dark timeline since everything that went wrong..well went wrong. How jeff lost an arm i have no idea, figured he would have left before anything came crashing down on top of it.

When the episode clicked with me like the current episode the show's is really excellent, not saying that the previous episodes was bad but this one reminds me why once again why this show is great. Loved the goggly eyes moment and man timeline nr.1, with all the chaos around and Troy coming back and staring at the troll, hilarious.

thats true, i could see how him doing that crazy windmill motion could catch his arm on fire also if it touched his clothes, and britta being higher then the moon and the shock of everyone could have just watched him die.

i like that scene because of troy and how he wanted to hurry and he was gone all 45 seconds and the world went to hell lol

Yeah, this latest episode was freakin' hilarious. The evil study group timeline is the best and it'll be interesting if they ever revisit that again. Jeff with missing arm. Pierce dead. Troy with a voice box, and I seriously was laughing for two minutes when he started talking with it. Hopefully this episode is one that gets the show back on track.

Also, been reading on some site about a theory that this episode was filmed before UN and in the UN episode we have an alternate timeline breaking through to win the competition.

Is Dan teasing us that evil T&A will be popping up in the future to mess with real T&A?

But Jeff has an arm, Pierce is alive, Troy's voice works, Shirley doesn't seem drunk, Annie isn't locked up, Abed doesn't have a beard, and Britta's hair isn't blue. And if it's one of the other timelines... There's no way to distinguish that. Also, that's a bit... Unfitting. Showing an alternate timeline as a joke in an credits scene of a "What if?" kind of episode is one thing, but having characters from alternate universes show up in the actual story... That would rename the "Jump The Shark" trope.

UN episode break through isn't the actual "alternate timelines" breaking through, just a way for Harmon to tease us his bigger ideas (Evil T&A coming to the real universe).

The notion is with the real timeline in this episode is before the last episode. Since, the filmed them in that order and...

Look into the Eartha Kitt line in UN; "I only told you guys that -Pierce"

When in this episode, he tells everything about Eartha Kitt.

And, the room number joke at the beginning is a pun at the episode shift placement.
