Great episode, honestly one of the best episodes ever. Evil Abed and Troy rules. Beyond rules. Rocks.

"and you're making fake beards!!!"

"Goatees...."

Someone needs to make a gif of Evil Abed rearing his teeth lol.

Thought the whole thing was great. But I laughed hardest at Britta going to light the cigarette for Troy, and it ends up being a candy cig.

I wouldn't mind seeing some Britta/Troy action this season...

But Jeff has an arm, Pierce is alive, Troy's voice works, Shirley doesn't seem drunk, Annie isn't locked up, Abed doesn't have a beard, and Britta's hair isn't blue. And if it's one of the other timelines... There's no way to distinguish that. Also, that's a bit... Unfitting. Showing an alternate timeline as a joke in an credits scene of a "What if?" kind of episode is one thing, but having characters from alternate universes show up in the actual story... That would rename the "Jump The Shark" trope.
in the evil timeline they are already more evil before going to the aparment IMO.so i think it would be funny if we saw the evil study group in episode 3 and 2. hahahahhahahah

if you now watch all 4 episodes together you can see how different Birtta is this season. its almost an 180. and i think its because they will explain that she is regular smoking marihuana or some pills. heheheheh

It’s also the rare sitcom that rewards a second viewing. I’m watching it again now as I write, and I now realize that Jeff’s “I’m going to get a drink” line is always prompted by something that ties into the episode’s final moments (not the post-episode “tag”), not just a random event prompting him to stand up and hit his head. It also helps re-confirm how little on the show is thrown away – the Air Conditioning Repair Annex that plays a part in this season is not an out of nowhere plot element – Pierce mentioned this sub-school back in one of the earliest season 1 episodes. It’s not exactly a Lost style serial – you can skip an episode or two and still get all the jokes – but there’s a real continuity to the writing that gives you the impression that things are planned out in advance (which is why swapping the order a bit is actually noticeable – it’s not uncommon to any show but rarely would anyone realize it).

the ratings are not very good. i hope they make season 4 so that it ends with the graduation

Indeed. I don't think it is going to get a season 4, but I did rewatch last night's episode and it was just as funny. Not every episode warrants a rewatch, but for any network TV show, especially a sitcom, to have such strong repeat viewing is rare.

I really hope they throw Harmon a bone and let his close out the series with a 4th and final year.

Even if it's just a 12 episode half season.

Part of the reason is the main purpose of her character at the outset was to be Jeff's "will they, won't they" love interest. Now with that plotline basically dead (Annie fulfills that role now, not sure I like that, TBH) they had to make her do other things, like be a pothead and a poseur student activist. Which I think works.

I don't know why they killed the Jeff/Britta storyline. Jeff and Annie is creepy. Even in last night's episode, Annie said Jeff reminded her of her father.

Frankly, I find Troy and Britta hooking up to be more likely than Jeff and Annie...

I really think they're just teasing us. I don't see those two ever really hooking up.

Troy and Britta is hotter because it's a younger guy and older woman (in the show's timeline, not in real life). The other way, with Jeff and Annie, is just plain creepy.

hows that for a double standard lol. but seriously, i wouldn't mind britta and troy hooking up. and about the whole study syndicate (that's what i'm calling then now lol) i think they're going to have abed have another mental breakdown and think he's actually evil abed from the other timeline, unless they actually go the whole alternate dimension angle lol.

yeah, it is a double standard. maybe it's because i find annie more annoying than britta. i've never been a fan of the overachiever type.

Britta & Annie anyone?

hows that for a double standard lol.

I know, but I don't care :awesome:

Besides, I'm guessing most of the guys here are in their 20s. How would you like it if a smarmy d-bag pushing 40 (like me) started coming in to your sphere and taking all the cute girls?

I've watched this three times already and it is still LOL.

It might be my favorite episode ever now...

I was coming in here to say the exact same thing. I thought this was one of the best jokes ever written for TV, and it seems so simple.

All in all, I think this may just be the best episode. I've been a bit disappointed with this season, but I was extremely happy with this episode. I just hope we see evil Troy and Abed before this season ends.

Wow, that episode was fantastic. Best of the season and maybe one of my favorites.

I thought Troy was chewing the cigarette because that's what he thinks chewing tobacco is.
