I loved Carlos score, but if the next movie is gonna have some bone-crunching action, it will need some balls-on-the-walls score! His score for the first was very... gentle. Maby keep the main theme, but take it to the next level.
Before he died I though Basil Poledouris could do the movie justice. What are your choices? Do you want Carlo back? Or a new composer, and in that case, who?

And if we want a "heroic" theme they could hire Trevor Rabin. He does make great songs tho. :ninja:

If Carlo Siliotto does not return, then I'd say either Alan Silvestri(Predator) or Tyler Bates(Devil's Rejects). I hope Siliotto returns. Loved the Leone-type music!!!

Alan Silvestri would be brilliant. Everytime i hear the main theme for Predator i think The Punisher.

Either Silvestri or Graeme Revell. I like both of these composers.

why mess with a perfect theme? should the composer change, the established theme should be left intact. it's what personified Punisher on the big screen. changing it would be like changing key aspects of the character. if they have to fudge with it, to make it more grandiose, menacing or brooding, for christ sake leave the body untouched. that doesn't mean use nothing but the theme music in the score. but it's what Punisher made his bones with. scrapping that would be a sign of monolithic stupidity.
