What I liked about the prologue is how rushed the Joker seems after the bus driver clown comes in and takes out the goon. From throwing the bags of money in the bus, he's just pacing around and looks to be in a hurry which is why it's so classic when he takes out the bus driver with a couple shots behind his back.

Only when the manager starts yelling at him does he then turn back to him and say the famous line.

It's the little smile he gives him at the end that really made the scene for me.

Not all that impressed. I mean, it's ok, but it is what it is: a mildly cool slightly rushed bank robbery sequence with a few attempts at comedy (Didn't like the grenade, seemed kind of forced. Would have been cooler if it was a paintball grenade or something).

No real reactions or terror from the bank's patrons, so you never feel like anyone's in any danger. The dialogue was kind of annoying and expository (How many times do we need to hear them say "The Joker"?), and I thought the editing was...odd. Nothing close to the quality of The Joker in the trailer from Heath in the prologue, though that was his first time out in the makeup and so forth, I guess.

I finally saw the prologue yesterday in IMAX. Just terrific, and beautiful to watch. So much freakin' better and more enjoyable than IaL. Ledger is amazing...his movement, walking, nodding, and voice. Perfect and classic Joker imo.

Hey guys, i don't know how many versions of the leaked prologue there are, but i found a good one on youtube that isn't the one with the seat cutting it in half... pm me for the link

I liked the prologue. I bet Ill like it even more once I see EVERYTHING that was meant to be seen.

A little rushed, but the reveal was nice. Again, not too nice, since I didnt get a good look at the Joker's entire face, but it's still worthy of a preview.

I loved the laugh. Even though it was muffled behind the mask, I still thought it was a nice touch. Also, the walk that everyone talked about reminded me of the way mobsters moved in mobster movies from the 30s or 40s. I liked it a lot.

EDIT:

I really, really loved the laugh. Looking at that thug's carcass after he maneuvered it into the path of the bus and laughing at his dumbass is priceless.

The Joker didn't laugh in the prologue. That was the cameraman (or the cameraman's buddy, most likely) chuckling.

OMG The Prologue WAS AMAZING!!!!!!

If The movies going to be like that

Nolan Has Out Done Himself!
It's going to be way WAY better then Batman Begins

I love the way it felt
like a heist movie
like point break or heat

If it didn't show the bat symbol you'd never know it was a "superhero" movie

It was great. I am legend was starting and for the first 5 minutes all I cared about was the prologue
I wanted to see it again or just walk out lol
but I saw the movie and it was good (b-)

just a quick off topic question
does anyone know the date the movie will be realesed in imax cuz the date for transformers was different to i wondering if its the same with this movie.
any ideas?

Well the youtube link to teh prologue, the one i have watched so many many times, is down. This is a stupid question cuz i know someone has it, but does anyone have a download link? eehh? ahhh? c'amon!!!

"No... No... I kill the bus driver." When he says this it's such a weird dialect. It fits for the joker but if anyone normal talked to me like that I'd be a little freaked out, lol. I also loved the zipline scene. The music is by far my favorite part, it's really different and fast. W00t bring on TDK!!!

Flame me if you will, but his smile when he places the fake grenade in the bank teller's mouth, it almost had a Jack Sparrow kind of smile, like the "you are ****ed, and i am leaving" thing.

Do what my signature suggests. :cwink:

I went to go see 'I Am Legend' in IMAX, and the damned this was sold out...ALL THREE SHOWINGS!! I was going ONLY to see the prologue! Damn IT!

Anyways...can someone PM me the best possible version of the prologue, please? Thanks so much.

Hey haven't been on here for a day or two, do they still have the prologue up somewhere, is it up for dl, can someone pm it to me?

I have seen the prologue via bootleg, ive seen the version which was the cleaned up version from a couple of days ago. I was wondering if a better verison has come out, one that is hopefully centered a bit better so we can see the Jokers face?

No, the cleaned up version is the best we have. I think it's the best we're going to get, unless someone gets farther away from the screen.

I just included a transcript of the prologue on the second post of this thread. Yeah, I'm procrastinating on things. :oldrazz:

Don't know if this has been mentioned before. If the thugs rob the mob bank, and even the alarm call doesn't go to 911 but to a private number, then how is it possible that someone police cars show up when the Joker drives away in the schoolbus? I mean, instead of police cars, shouldn't be there be mob vehicles with armed gangsters?

They disabled the silent alarm that went to the private number. The police were probably showing up because someone from the street reported hearing gunshots.

Nice! But just a little nit-pick (though I'd hate to be that person) I'm pretty sure the goons yell 'Hands up, heads down' instead of hands up hands down. It makes more sense, doncha think?

It would make more sense, which is why it stuck out to me when I saw it at the IMAX screening. It's one of the pieces of dialogue I remembered for sure after the first viewing. He definitely says "hands down." He even threatens that teller who still has her hands up.

Maybe I'm just hearing 'heads down' because I know that makes more sense.
Well, he is a threatening goon. Not everything he says has to make sense.

Does anyone know if they will ever officially relase this prologue eventually online? Like in a month or two, I already saw it in IMAX, and in bootleg, I'm just curious if there's any word on that.

I don't think they will release it online, pretty sure about that...bootleg it will have to be...which I could have.....or not...could be blowing laughing gas out of my butt and make them think I found it...which I could... could not have in a PM, but I guess you;ll just have to ask...(sigh)...(whistles)
