And regarding the thread that Jokers_Wild started and was closed about the prologue being shown in October..

It's impossible. My friend was in the studio when they did the sound-mixing for it, and WB had booked two days in mid-November. If the sound-mixing wasn't even done yet, I highly doubt Nolan would have shown it to a "test-audience."

I'm still confused about it...I'm sure he's not lying about what he saw--he's a straight-up guy. Gosh, I don't know. Yeah, it's doesn't make sense if they did sound mixing in November.

Well my friend wasn't in the room doing the sound, obviously, so we don't know for sure that they were doing the prologue. But they had booked it for two days (one day for setting up equipment) and that's not enough for doing an entire movie. WB has in-house depts doing trailers, so I suggested the prologue and my friend said that 6 minutes of a film did make sense for the amount of time they had booked it for.

Now what kind of work they're doing on Jan 26, is a big mystery to me. "RDK" is back on the schedule then, but my friend didn't tell me for how long...I'm actually more antsy for news on the ARG, LOL. :oldrazz:

They'd better start up again :cmad:

It would make sense starting them back up along with the continuation of the post-production, so maybe we'll be getting to have some at the end of the month :word:

Yes, but YouTube is probably not as reliable since they get taken down almost as fast as they get put up, LOL.

And then there's the method that I'm employing...:ninja:

You can easily google it and find people hosting them on their private web sites and such. That's how I found one to show to a friend of mine. You'd literally have to work hard not to be able to find it.

well i posted it on veoh stage6 imeem and yt under different names...its only that one i posted with the correct name. although i now know for a FACT that WB, disney, and fox are using the YouTube video ID system now...so giving it fake names duznt last very long now...DAMNIT ALL

There's a video ID system? I had no idea. Wicked.

yea im a big yter so i know...they are testing it right now...so IM testing TOO..i upload the prologue and HIDE it..it has NO view no NOTHING, yet WB finds it and takes it down. the ONLY way they can find ANYTHING is by searching ...but obviously they submitted the prologue for fingerprinting and can now monitor whoever uploads it through that DAMN video id thing...i knew this was gonna happen. youtube too gud to be troo

so is the prologue really part of the movie?..or is it a separate thing nolan made?

EXCLUSIVE TO IMAX
The Dark Knight Prologue!

If you come along to see Beowulf: An IMAX 3D Experience from today onwards then you’ll be one of the lucky few to experience the 7 minute prologue for the eagerly anticipated new film The Dark Knight: The IMAX Experience.

The Dark Knight: The IMAX Experience is due for release on 18 July 2008 and will feature four sequences filmed with IMAX cameras. This marks the first time ever that a major feature film has been even partially shot using IMAX cameras, marking a revolutionary integration of the two film formats.

We hope to be showing The Dark Night in the summer and you'll be the first to know if we are!

The follow-up to the action hit Batman Begins, The Dark Knight reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne. In the new film, Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker.

This 7 minute prologue is exclusive to IMAX and up until now has only been shown alongside I Am Legend.

Don’t miss this opportunity to take a sneak peek at what is sure to be the hit of the summer!

Does anyone else think that they'll now edit out Heath's line "What doesn't kill you will only make you stranger?" I'm not saying they'll edit his whole performance, but this particular line might seem a little inappropriate. Audiences will already be thinking about his death when the movie starts, so removing this line might be a good idea.

If they aren't a**holes, Nolan and his team will keep every bit of the movie in the final cut as they would have if he hadn't died.

But at the same time, Nolan would want his audience to enjoy the movie without adding any more attention to the weight already hanging over the audience's head. I'm not talking about how fanboys will react, because I'm guessing a majority will want to see Heath's performance as it was intended. But for the general audience, who may not know that much about Joker beyond the tv shows and movies, seeing Heath talk about something killing him may take their focus off the rest of the movie.
