tonight i went and saw I am Legend in IMax and the prologue was AMAZING. i was expecting not alo of people to know about it but everyone around me was talking about it before it happened before every trailer i heard people say " I hope this is the Batman thing". My friends always make fun of me for being such a big Batman fan but after the trailer they were the first to say" We are going to see that as soon as it comes out". it really reminded me of the movie Heat

oh another thing did anyone see the batman/superman teaser poster in time square in the movie. i thought that was so cool

Ah, no wonder why I miscounted the robbers at the end. There's a bit of an editing time lapse in it - we see one robber in one place at one moment, and then he's entering a completely new environment in the next frame. And William Fichter is a poor shot. I thought he killed more robbers than he did. :oldrazz:

Thank god it's out. I wasn't able to record anything because the IMAX people were watching :(

thanks Troma, i wrote in the prologue thread that i had to empty my pm box 2 times because of requests. oh in case anyone missed it, i chose Irving Zisman because the old guy off jackass 2 rules that movie. i know it's johnny knoxville dressed up as an old guy but still, it's hilarious! my real name is Bryan.

I saw it in its glory, although I thought I Am Legend was a decent movie, I wish it was better, cuz then I would go see the teaser trailer in a normal theatre. I would love it if someone could pm me with a link, I pm'ed TromaFreak64 though.

I freakin' loved the way the Joker moved and walked around, especially when he did his little swaying to get that guy to stand right where the bus would back in to hit him. (The fact that he just wasn't standing there-which bugs me with typical action movies-but shows Joker guide him in that direction was freakin' sweet)

Fichtner couldn't hit the ground with his hat in 3 tries
Hah!

Yeah, and they could tidy up the editing a bit. We just need a millisecond shot of the robber leaving, then there would be some continuity before we see him entering the vault room. We just have a shot of the Joker walking around alone afterwards and that's when we realize where the other guy went. But it was too late and I was already confused. :oldrazz:

Just got back from the Imax. Sorry, I think it was because everyone hyped it beyond belief but I felt the Prologue was just Ok. That and the fact that I saw it after the leaked trailer.

I don't know, the voices were incredibly muffled and low to the point where I wouldn't have had much of a clue what the goons were saying if I hadn't read other people's descriptions. I was stoked when Joker took off his mask though, but didn't exactly notice "the walk" everyone was talking about. He seemed to walk normal to me.
That's why I was adamant that the walk was NOT a limp. It's waaaay more subtle than that. But he definitely has a distinct way of moving. I had forgotten how twitchy he was.

The prologue was a suspense piece, and the trailer was all explodey all the time. That's probably why it didn't feel as exciting as the trailer, but it's still one hell of a way to open a movie.

the chair really is annoying. its better than i thought, i thought the leak would have a video showing only parts of the screen. l

Yeah, you missed some good parts of it because of the chair. The Joker cowering with his arms around his knees, twitchy-nodding to try and get his partner killed is rather amusing.

Yeah, I had the same feeling. My heart was pounding during the whole thing. I LOVED how Joker just shot that bus driver without hesitation!

That was so tight too, cuz I was waiting for it, and next thing I know he had already lifted his gun and mowed the driver down!

I totally still loved it more than the trailer. Trailer was totally awesome! But the prologue was just so freakin' sweet, we were actually watching the movie! To start a movie out like that? Holy freakin' crap balls!

And to compare the two trailers is like comparing two kids? or your favorite dessert with a perfectly cooked steak?

Or...you know what...there's the wam bam thank you ma'am...and the nice, long lasting type. Both are great in their own way! :woot:

For sure, I loved that shot that the LA Times pic is capped from, how he's just standing there and then moves to get in the van, the way the music picked up and just his particular movement.

The whole clip had a very Heat/Michael Mann-type vibe, which happens to be my fave movie of all time.

To help Irving out, if anyone else needs a link to dl prologue PM me

Thanks btw, my bro's will love it, but man oh man, this does not in ANY do the prologue justice, no wonder people are saying they like the trailer better (unless some people have seen both in the theatre).

I KNOW!! *jumps up and down like schoolgirls on trampoline....hot 18 year old school girls with pigtails and short skirts and perky breasts......* Huh? what? oh, yeah the prologue. IT WAS AMAZING! God that thing honestly pushed the boundaries of PG-13, IMO. Lotsa shooting :up:

Oh, and guess what. My friend sitting next to me, after the thing was done, looked at me and said "um...o....k...". I shoulda slapped him silly :cmad:

Your friend has lost his testosterone. That's a serious issue he should have checked with his doctor. You could be a good friend and cure this with a link to the TDK board.

this would be WAY TOO easy for this Urving, rather than have to send 7 pm's a minute, if we could just be allowed put it on youtube. KOME-ON PPL! its 8pm here, and the night Is young, lets get some real footage on here!
