The Dark Knight Concerns about TDK

I don't know anyone that DOESN'T look ugly when they're crying uncontrollably. It looks funny, but frankly that's how everyone looks when they're sobbing. And I'm not referring to the "Fake" crying you see in most movies. That stupid frowning, some tears in the eyes, and little moans, doesn't equate to a realistic portrayal of crying imo.

Tobey did it right.

yeah, but movies are movies. some people cry well in movies. and while it may not be quite realistic, it's more appealing. i agree with you, but i think you have to change some things for the sake of cinema. like with gunshots. blood doesn't generally shoot out of someone when they are shot. and it doesn't often flow out of them like that. but it looks awesome in movies.

but yes, most people look hideous when sobbing.

Well I don't exactly know why watching anyone cry should be appealing, but ok.. :o

The Wayne shooting scene in BB must've sucked for you. :oldrazz:

:batty: I have many concerns about this film. BATMAN is very important to me. He is my favorite Comic Book Super Hero of all time. And, I don't want to see him and his supporting cast and, rogues gallery portrayed the wrong way.

I don't care what those newcomers who aren't real fans have to say about realism and it doesn't have to be a direct translation from the comic book. Well it does have to be a direct translation from the comic book, that is where he comes from and that is who and, what Batman is, also he is in a comic book worl, if I want to see reality I'll watch the news.

I am not at all happy with what has been done to The Joker, he should be white all over and he should not be applying make up if that is the case, that is all wrong, respect the
true character! Joker fell into a vat of chemicals causing his white skin, smile, green hair, and red lips.

And as for BATMAN's suit, they said it was going to be more like the comics in this one, and then they come up with this. Why not just put him in the Ironman suit! Pathetic.

They really haven't done anything different with the suit like they were suppose to, and it still looks like something from Batman and Robin, especially if they keep thos clasps which look stupid, Clooney had those clasps.:whatever:

I hope Nolan doesn't try to throw in his trademark so called surprise endings trying to just turn these into his films, he needs to know that this is an American Icon, not his own creation!!! :cmad:

I have had a love/hate feeling for BATMAN BEGINS since I saw it the 2nd time, I loved it the first, it was nice to see Joe Chill brought to the big screen and the Scarecrow, and to see Bruce train and the origin and all, but, when I watched it again on dvd things started to bother me, alot of others have said so aswell, not everyone is a Nolan fane and Nolan Drone, Scarecrow should have kept his mask on and had a better costume to go with the mask, Batman's suit should have been a dark grey and black, the Batmobile is missing that Bat-style, Alfred looked the same age when Bruce was 30 as he was when he was 8. But they had Gordon look a bit different when Bruce was a child, also Gordon at leats looked like the comic book character, would it have killed them to put a moustache on alfred, why just have one character accurately done, like Loeb, he's an old white man, Flass is a blonde ex navy seal, in shape.

I think they should have just done a Year One movie with flashes of his training and all. Ra's missing his Lazarus Pits is a shame, they have really robbed that character of his traits, it's a shame they could'nt just bring the whole thing faithfully to life. Enough of the stupid realism, just bring the Comic Book Legend to life, that is all.

I'm afraid the 2nd will not be as good as the first even though it was flawed I do like it somewhat, I just have a feeling they're going to take too many liberties with these classic characters who don't need to be remade, they are interesting enough on their own and have been for decades for a reason, I don't need to see some different version. I want to see the characters, and the story I know, when I read Batman I think, wow I'd love to see this come to life, then they always manage to screw something up.

I love the Time Burton films, he truly captured the spirit, but when I heard that they were restarting the franchise and it would be more faithful I was so happy to see these things I always wanted to, but thenI got inaccurate changes and all that crap.

go watch a cartoon

"...Would you like to see my Scarecrow outfit? Hold on...sorry about this, just a second...where did I put those gloves...alrighty...could you zip me up in the back? Thanks. Here, go ahead and grab some straw and just kinda stick it all over the place. Okay, okay..."

Also one of the better counter arguments on this board ever.

They grabbed me and threw some of me over there, then ripped my arms and threw it over there!

Hillarious.

wow, I didn't realize how bad we could have tore his post up if we weren't holding back.

The only thing im concerned with if joker is sharing the movie with dent instead of it being jokers movie till the end when two face is born

I'm not concerned with this movie at all. I just trust what these people are doing. I gather that this movie will become a milestone in this franchise. Its just a gut feeling. Not overexcitement or anything of the like. While I do visist the boards everyday, I don't spoil myself much in these threads. I simply avoid several threads alltogether. Point is, when next summer arrives. I want to experience this movie, whithout knowing much. The closer de date gets the less I'm gonna lurk around. (YEAH RIGHT!) I'll try my best though.

P.S. Bale is great in Rescue Dawn, one of his best performances. Very touching movie, very inspiring. Dangler is a hero .

Ya, I didn't want to be straight mean but those kind of posts really just draw negative reactions.

im really concerned for tdk. after the disapointmemt of sm3[even though i likedsome of it] has me worried about all the hgue films coming out

Spider-Man is *****. I enjoyed the last one, only because I think it was funny. Other than that, I hated it. The franchise is very different from Batman. Next summer we will be getting something quite different than what we got Summer 2005. It's a gut feeling of mine and I'm trusting it baby!

I don't have any concerns with the direction of the Batman franchise... Nolan knows what he’s doing, the casting all seems right, and I feel there is enough true to the comics elements as well as fresh original interpretation too.

Unlike Sony's disastrous direction of the Spiderman franchise, I think WB have enough experience of running a franchise into the ground with "Batman Forever" plus "Batman & Robin" to make the same mistake again!!

And although I'm not a fan, general opinion suggests WB's handling of the Harry Potter franchise has come from strength to strength, with each instalment bettering the last.

I believe in Christopher Nolan!

wow one movie wasnt up to par and you guys jump ship

I didn't like Sm1 I kind of liked 2 only because of Alfred Molina and I hated the 3rd one, I really haven't really been on the SM ship.

I blame Avi for that one not Raimi, though raimi had the decision to add the dancing number and have him wear his hair in front of his face.
