Well it looks like they've tied Shang Chi directly into Iron Man and the 10 Rings organisation. So like Far From Home, it hearkens back to the very first MCU movie.

It’ll be interesting to see how they connect him to the larger universe. At least Black Panther has a whole city of Wakanda to draw from.

As far as I can tell, all Shang Chi can do is punch and kick really well, which I don’t know how useful that will be against larger enemies.

Well the Mandarin has a very interesting Mythos surrounding him.Would be Shangchis wakanda so to speak.
