I checked and double-checked no one else had posted this, but most likely three posts with it will have popped up in the time it takes me to write this:

My initial reaction to this was: "He looks perfect! Amazing job!"

Then I remembered that John Constantine is pretty much the easiest costume ever... a scruffy blond guy in a tan khaki trenchcoat.

THEN I remembered that WB still managed to screw THAT up before.

Bravo, NBC!

I'd say they definately got the looks 10/10 compared to the comics.

Warren Ellis denies that he is based off of John Constantine claiming he was inspired by Jack Regan from The Sweeney although Wisdom and Constantine are similar in some ways so Ellis might of just said that so he doesn't get sued

They got a British guy to play Constantine, and he looks picture perfect. They've said that it'll adhere closer to the comics. I can live with the show being set in NYC. NYC seems like the kind of place that weird supernatural stuff would happen on a fairly regular basis.

Ugh, WB's TV production company makes the shows, NBC simply orders them (and finances the show) and buys the rights to broadcast them. (I think)

John's been in the USA a few times in the comics, but the perfect setting for a Hellblazer story's always been London/ England, with occasional visits to other places. Still hyped though.

Yep John is a regular globetrotter in the comics but London is his main turf.

John in NYC usually means a clash with Papa Midnite as that is his turf.

Hopefully they can do a season finale or season opener in London like Elementary did.
