This looks f***ing great. I enjoyed the Keanu version for what it was, but for my money, this looks a lot truer to the spirit of the character (even if he ultimately doesn't smoke). Ryan looks great and I friggin' love Lucy Griffiths. Can't wait for this. I was wary that it wouldn't translate well to major network TV but if the actual show is as good as this trailer, then I'm all in.

People complaining about this just reinforce the notion that at least 50% of fanboys will never be pleased with anything, ever. Because after all, no one could POSSIBLY be as knowledgeable as they are about [INSERT COMIC BOOK CHARACTER HERE] as they are and all movies/TV shows/video games/web series/community plays/Kabuki theatre productions do is RUIN RUIN RUIN their favorite characters and mutilate their childhood dreams or something.

I could see a Arrow Flash paring but IDK Arn't they doing Peggy Carter during the Inbetween breaks for AOS? if ABC should've learned one thing they should've done that for Once Upon of Time in Wonderland.

Yeah, Paul Lee pretty much came out and apologized for that ****-up with the scheduling of OUAT in Wonderland as soon as the ratings turned out to be crap. He's not doing that again.

Makes sense; but wouldn't they want Flash to reach the kiddies at 8 PM? Unless the intent is to make Flash edgier....

If anything, I'd flip the two, and put Flash on at 8, and Arrow on at 9 and let the latter show get a tad bit darker.

My one problem is it looks too clean, Constantine doesn't really look too world weary -- or even a guy whose seen a lot of **** in his time. Columbo and, yes Castiel both pull off the more frumpled/shaggy look, just wearing a loose tie doesn't = disheveled. He's got the attitude, but he still just looks like a cosplayer.

I agree. I hope they keep Constantine the morally grey guy who walks his own path and is just as likely to mess up the plans of heaven as he is the plans of hell.

Making Constantine just another cookie cutter supernatural detective would be a mistake.

Agreed. Constantine is someone who hates both sides equally, Heaven and Hell. He like to mess up the plans of the feathered fascists as much as he likes to ruin the plans of the butchers below. To him there is no "good" side in their conflict. Just two supernatural superpowers who **** with humanity for their own gains and changing that by turning Constantine into a simpering sycophant towards heaven is pretty much ruining the character, imho. Hated that about the Keanu version soooo damn much. Constantine would never go crawl on his knees, begging to go into heaven in front of an angel or God.

To be fair, he looked clean when he sported a suit in his early Swamp Thing appearances (and again in Andy Diggle's short lived Hellblazer run). Then there when wearing a sweater for early half of Mike Carey's run and throughout Hellblazer: Pandemonium

Cult was def. a disappointment for how intriguing the concept sounded, but I think Revolution immediately became a much more interesting show once he became the number two writer in season 2.

He doesn't say what role he'll have in the writer's room, but I feel pretty confident that he's a good voice to have in the mix.
