Nathaniel Richards vs Forge?! that is going to be insane!
 
A lot of my matches are going to be insane. I am facing Harlekin, Wieg, Blaze, JH and a tough match bewteen IM and Doom this week. All I needed was to face Phaed and it would be complete...:rolleyes:

The idea of the super fast thread or whatever is a little silly...but Spartin2008 seems like a nice guy and he's doing a good job :up: I guess, if anything, I feel complimented that my thread has spawned so many similar ones...i'm like the godfather lol :D

Hmmm...that's a fitting name for you, Godfather.

Hell, I tried a tournament right before JH pmed me about his idea for the Contest of Marvels. Mine was only generating about 4-6 votes; so, I killed it, sent out comics to a hand drawn person, and got behind JH 100%.

I'm Italian as well, so Godfather is ironic and hilarious lol

but now your an integral part of keeping my tourney running, and I am extremly thankful about that (POWdER-man and MI as well :up:)
 
Yeah it seems like we have been doing this forever. It's hard to believe this all started from a little Jewish Hobbit posting how he was giving away ASM #121 and 122. That seems SOO long ago...

I think this tournament was very successful, and I am glad I was a part of it....:up:
 
At least with Dr. Doom vs. Iron Man, you guys have a ton of information about them facing each other numerous times. They even put out a TPB once of the Doom vs. Iron Man matches.
 
OK, I'm going to start getting the brackets ready. Hopefully I don't get too many interruptions this morning.

Man, I still fell guilty about having to renig that. I was whole heartedly going to give those to the winner before necessary bills came acalling and I had to sell them. Man I was so mad. If you guys remember, our turn out was at least double what it is now back then. Now THAT would have been an interesting tourney. Well, I'm sure Midnight Ice was happy how it turned out though,.... first one out of the tourney and he still got one of them (granted, he bought it, but hey, he owns it now).

Don't even think think about it. I was never upset, not then or now. Some things are just more important in life...:)

I would have joined this game just for the fact of playing. Anything else is like sugar on top.....;)

DUCKWORLD!!!! Yeah that's right. It's the home planet of Howard the Duck, where ducks are the dominant species. There will be plenty of ducks around, so feel free to kill any. You will be inside a city that is awfully characteristic of New York, but just more duck.

Maybe our characters would have to be zombies for the round. ;)

I thought about that world once; but, I think the two contestants would be too focused on having to fight every single zombie on that world and not each other.
 
The only way I would actually use it is if there are no zombies in the area and it's simply the devastated city in ruins.
 
Boy, not much debating over the weekend. Sounds like everyone was busy, like Powder. I have 9 hours work at my 2nd job on Saturday, and then went to an early St. Patrick's Day party. (That was an experience. I am good friends with the gal, and with me and a gal friend who accompanied me that she knows, she only had two other people there who were her friends...and, one was her brother who left after 20 minutes. It was packed, but they were all engineers who work with her boyfriend. I never meet so many people who were practically clones of one another. Plus, they are all so pompous. My friend who came with me said how she's working two jobs at Longs and Mervyn's ... she left out the part that said she's taking a year off before going after her Masters ... and one gal just gave her a look, like she was a lowlife. And, they all had these opinions of the lower class. I hate to stereotype...but, damn, I have a hard time talking to engineers.)

Anyway, off that tangent. I did take my boy to Shaggy Dog yesterday. That movie was BAD! Run, don't walk, away from that movie.

I am waiting until the end of the month for Ice Age 2
 
Yeah, I had a good indication the movie was going to stink, especially after seeing the preview. But, the boy wanted to see, and who am I to tell him no? I'm waiting for Ice Age 2, also. But, I'll be real happy not to see that dang preview for the 100th time, too. And, talking about not seeing something for the 100th time, doesn't seem like every other pixar-type movie coming out soon is just playing off the Madagascar theme? We have a penguin movie, a movie about a group of zoo animals going to the big city to rescue a lion cub, and the Over The Hedge movie. At least Cars will be a little original.
 
If my kid ever wanted to see the Shaggy Dog, they can watch the original that I grew up on. There was a good kids movie. (Now all I need is some kids.)

I plain didn't have time to do a matchup this weekend. Don't know where it all went, but I didn't get to the matches. Should have them up tonight though.
 
Hmmm....

JH will have to decide, but if it helps out, we could possibly change voting to begin Wednesday morning (my time..it's early afternoon for many of you). I can have it go until Friday morning, then. And, later in the day I could post the new matches. I think it's better to give those who have so many matches a chance to debate and counter that debate if necessary...especially Powderman and Harlekin who have to suffer for having such good luck last round.

Also, give your opinion whether this is alright with other participants.
 
Yes, let's push back voting. We're further along in the tourney and these matches NEED debates.

And my excuse for not debating until now?...... I forgot... how gay :(

But I got one match up, and I'm currently researching my Hyperion/Thanos match.. so if it isn't up tonight, it'll be up tomorrow.
 
I'm all for that. I might only be able to get one match up tonight.
