I just had an idea for the next tourney. If we want to drum up votes, why don't we post links to the battles in Sparta's thread?

Not the battles themselves, but just the links so anyone who wants to look at the battles and vote can, and it won't interfere with any match going on in Sparta's thread.

Hyperion and Sphinx have been defeated, and I'm out of the tournament.

That sucks

I thought Sphinx had a chance until I actually read up on Desak,.. then I couldn't think of a way for him to win in the slightest. I tried, but I had nothing. I thought I had a decent chance with Hyperion against Thanos, but I couldn't get my ideas together and it just wasn't ment to be. I really wanted to be the guy who took out Thanos too

Man, it's going to be wierd not debating anymore, I had a match in every round from week 1 to now

Well, now that I'm out of the tourney, I may be able to start thinking about next season. I think it'll be a lot like this one, but I was wondering if you guys want maybe alternate versions of people and other dementions and such added. People like Age of Apocalypse characters, or 2099 characters, etc. X-Men 2099 is still to this day one of my absolute favorte books ever, and I'd LOVE to have some of those characters. I figure since we're cutting out some uber characters and probably some more minor nobodies like Beak and such, we can fit them in. If everyone agrees, then what elsewords characters would you like to see? (though note, I'm not going to have 20 versions of Spiderman or anything like that)

And I'll also definately be making it certain before the game even begins what version a character is, and it'll be stated beside the character when we make out the character list.

Ah, I see you're thinking the same things I am. I'm excited about getting ready for the next season. Plus, since we still have around 10-12 participants still around, we should have some good imput into what worked and what didn't. One things for sure....Man-Thing will get his revenge for being left out next season!

Sorry to see you go JH. We had some interesting matchups. I don't think any were as good as the Scorpion/Nico matchup in the first round.

We should do up a montage for the fallen participants as they go.

Loki and Desak as my final two. If I didn't pick up Loki I would have only one character left. I am not surprised that Desak is still around. The guy almost killed Thor a couple of times and merged with the destroyer. I imagine it would be his last appearance in the tournament though.

BTW We did have at least one AoA character, Dark Beast. But if we are to add anymore it would have to be drastically alterned characters and not ones similiar to the regular universe.

With one left to be decided, but by the looks of it Death's head has a good lead. I am not sure what we are going to do with him. I hate to see someone who has never really participated through the tournament and we haven't seen in several weeks actually have a chance of winning this...:

Ohh Im going to lose. Hey I really dont have much time for all of this debate I dont even know enough about some of my own people to debate. Also im usualy on SHH while at school not much time at home. So just let Quasar lose sets you seem to dislike me for not having time to debate. Im just not as good as everyone in this sorry for that.Also i'll make sure to not join the next one because of time didn't know this one would last sooooo long.

I was happy to have 3 characters left...but, with 2 going against each other and the third having to face Dr. Doom, I'm looking at having only 1 character left going into the final 8. Plus, my final character will have to face (more than likely) Thanos in that round. I'll be joining Ice and JH soon enough, I think.

(Now, Powder needs to pay me to say he won't have a single character left. Whatever I predict for him, the opposite happens.)
