Contest Of Marvels Discussion Thread

got any links for him then?if you could post a few and then i have more than just the one that gets posted in the threads to go off

Kylun might be able to take Sabretooth...it'll all come down to how you debate Nightwing. Doesn't Kylun have a healing factor or something too?

I'll have some information about the last round a bit later today, but I'm getting the rounds ready now for the next matches. Since I'm doing bios and photos all together, I'm asking for everyone to wait saying anything in the threads until it's all been posted. With me seperating the two brackets between each thread, it will be better not having posts between the two.

Thanks,

Phaed

Alex Powers VS Loki?!! Oh man, that is going to be a massacre

I only have one match-up this week, but i'm going to have to work as hard as if I had 5 match-ups because its my Scarlet Witch vs Harlekin's Maestro...and Harlekin is a damn good debater!

If you do pull an upset, you'll have to send Bendis a dozen roses.

Thanks Sparta. The same to you and I wish you the best of luck.

Remember though, this Wanda isn't the uber God powerful from Disassembled/House of M,.. this is the plain ol' Wanda as people's known her for years. I stated that last round and it sticks for this one.

Haha, seems like my matchups are one extreme to the next Reaper vs Cassandra Nova, Loki vs Alex Powers...then I have Doc Ock vs Goblin Queen and freakin Drax vs Carnage.....

So where are the battle this week?

Or did I just miss the post?

Ah, Man-Thing's swamp. Excellent. Might be able to use that in a battle or two.

She's still damn dangerous with her hex powers and chaos magic. With the resources of the Avengers at her disposal, and 24 hours of preptime, she could, in theory, give the Maestro a surprisingly good fight.
All depends on how smart she plays it though. :D ;)

OH MY GOD....LOCATION

This week is dedicated to the best Marvel character left out of this competition.....Man-Thing...somehow we had Howard the Duck but Man-Thing was left out...

So this week the matchups are held in Man-Thing's Swamp.

There are many places to go in this area which includes a cemetary, an abandoned Insane Asylum, a river, the swamp of course and Swamp City, to name a few.

MAN! What a game today!!! Seahawks are 9-2, and after the Giants missed three field goals in a row, two in overtime, Seahawks pull off a victory that might just be the best EVAH! I am jacked, and now I finally get to read some of this weeks comics. It's been so busy this week, but this is a perfect ending.

Hope everyone else is doing so good,

Phaed

I'm doing good. Got to relax some and have made some wonderful progress on my book that I'm writing. I'm moving later this week and I'm stoked about that, though I'm sad about having to lose my cat. I can't find a home for him and will have to take him to an adoption shelter,.. but the sad thing is that cats never get adopted. So that sucks,.. but everything else has been peachy.

And we're having some good debating for the second week in a row... so weekend's grand

It's hard to believe, but debating this week might have been better than last week! I've been so busy with both jobs, I feel like a turd for not debating better or sooner. But, it seems like it's going to be crazy at both jobs the rest of the holiday season.

We even had some snow here last night, but it was raining by morning. I do have the pleasure of getting to listen to two new cds...I FINALLY found a copy of Robbie Williams' "Intensive Care." It's too bad most of America doesn't realize how great this guy is. It took me going to 4 record stores before I found the only copy that's in all of Silverdale. I really wish I could find a DVD of one of his concerts. I have watched his Live 8 portion of the show, and he really goes all out and interacts with the crowd. This guy is a performer in the truest sense of the word.

I also picked up Billy Joel's new box set, "My Lives." If you are a fan, then it's pretty nice to hear demos and unreleased stuff. But, as a casual listener, you're better off with his greatest hits package. There are a lot of stuff that I'll probably remove from my ipod, as a lot of his hits aren't included in this. It's more like "bells and whistles" type of stuff you'd find on a DVD.

Anyway, I'm still doing good with not opening my kid's Christmas present. I want to try out the new X-Box 360 so bad...but, keep telling myself that Christmas is right around the corner, and having previously played merchandise would really be crappy for my son.

so is the 360 a present for you...or your son? haha or is it like buying your mom a video game and saying..."oh...you dont like it? Ill take it" haha

Hey, I got my ma a Gamecube an' some games, but I'll be playin' them now an' again too. ;-) Th' gift that keeps on givin'.

My boy has every game system. I play them from time to time, but I really don't do that much of it anymore. I'll buy a game, but it's rare for me to actually finish one. So, at first, I'll probably be all into it; but, I'm generally too tired by the time I'm home alone to want to pick up a controller.

Heh,... the last game system I owned was the Sega Genesis :) I'm so lame.
