Apocalypse Costumes of the 80s

The 1980s is an aesthetic you could go wild with in terms of comic book costumes. The animated series was very geared towards that look. Do you think this could potentially bring in an opportunity to introduce spandex and colour into it, I could see limitless oppurtunities.

If they go with uniforms, I'd prefer that they stick with black with some individualized colour (eg. blue for Cyclops, green for Jean, white for Storm, yellow for Beast).

Yes, but the colour should be more prominent amongst the black.

I hope we get a updated version of the blue and yellow costumes from First Class for the X-Men and a continuation of more comic book looking costumes for Magneto and his brotherhood if they appear.

I always thought Gambit's costume from the cartoon had a very 80's vibe to it... I'd like to see his hair all spikey/poofy. I think it'd look cool, if he is set to appear in the 80's. Still confused if we will have more future timelines or just one set in the 80's.

Gambit/Deadpool/Wolverine have always been my favorite X-Men... And they're the must Un X-Men's in the group, haha.

I was thinking this too. Could my childhood dream of seeing the X-Men I know from the animated series finally show up?(Although Rogue is impossible and maybe Jubilee?)

Or would I have to wait for the next film when they reach the 90's?

With Gambit, I definitely see that happening and I can see Channing Tatum rocking that look.

I would like an updated yellow and blue also, I know singer said he did it with FC because it was the 60s but I don't see why he couldn't get away with it again

I'm with you. Though I do admit the FC blue and yellow was acceptable.
I just hope its not too faithful. Like some of the comic book designs translate awful to the real world. Tights over underwear, shoulder blades, the fact that the costume was more of a costume then it was combat gear etc...

I liked this portrayal, Only thing Is I think Scott should rock a helmet but thats just my opinion. All that battle armor and ur head exposed?

I do hope that they bring in some color, Im not wanting the all black again. Not saying that they have to have every color of the rainbow on them but something similar to some of their costumes like a grounded realist version of it and ill be happy.

For example I can see beast using the black and yellow like we've seen, but Scott could use dark blue with yellow, Jean dark green with yellow, etc. maybe have storm be the only other team member with a mostly black costume. If gambit is the outsider/newbie I expect him to be he should have a unique costume that he uses.

Give Storm the white stripes.
