Apocalypse Costumes of the 80s

I don't care what anyone else looks like, but I need biker chick looking Storm with the mohawk. No excuses. :o

Anything but something similar to the OT costumes. I have no idea who the costume designer was for X3 or First Class but hire them again. Jeans outfit in X3 was great and Storms alternate uniform that she wore when going to Alkali Lake was pretty cool too. And the costuming in First Class was just all around good but Mingenbach's costumes for the OT and DOFP (which was a step up) just don't look exciting to me.

Id' love to see that, not just because it'd be cool but it'd be a great contrast for the more responsibly and demure Storm she'll grow into.

This! I think it'd be great to have a rebellious young Storm with her 80's punk rock look and then as she grows up alongside Xavier and co. she grows out of the look and resembles Halle Berry's Storm more.

I'm with everyone here though. I think they should just naturally evolve the FC suits. They were great, realistic, but also channeled the comics. Beast's suit in X3 would be a good template for sure. Black/Dark Blue, just with more color and more personality to each individual member.

Not only that, it fits perfectly with the punk look of the 80s.

See I really don't want Storm to have her mohawk and everything straight away. In the comics it was a huge moment that she changed her style and I wouldnt like our first thing of storm to be that, I want the goddess first.

Something like the costumes of the New Mutants, Black and Yellow. Plus The yellow would give a nod to the FC costumes and the black would give a nod to the black we costumes saw in the original trilogy and the future portion of DOFP.

Make it happen Singer! :cmad:

I could see beast or wolvie wearing a thriller-esque jacket lol

An updated version of the FC uniforms could work.
-Storm's Mohawk/biker look=yes please.
-Magneto wearing something similar to his DOFP costume.
-Wolverine and Mystique are fine as is, no need for change there.
-Gambit needs his coat. The rest of his look would depend on his role in the film (is he on the team, is he an antagonist, etc)?

Im not opposed to a black and gold look as long as its done with some variances. I also wouldn't mind seeing them start out in something like this before moving on to better costumes for an end battle.

thats an excellent outfit

Yeah, something like that could be pretty cool. Kind of a modified version of the First Class costumes, either yellow & black or yellow & blue.

I want black and yellow costumes too. It is a perfect mix between FC and the OT .

I honestly feel like the original trilogy nailed it. The black with the contrast of bold colors really worked for the films. They were grounded and stylish at the same time. I definitely want to see them use different colors for different X-Men and maybe make some sort of deviation of these.

But if they're going for something fresh I would recommend this palette:

The leather costumes would have been better if they didn't look all the same. I liked them during the early and mid 2000s. But now, I want something more different, like style-wise.

I just wished the areas that the piping surrounded on top was colored instead of being black.

I want real god damn costumes. Not army suits or all leather bs. I want masks and colorful costume. I don't care how unrealistic. I want the X-men dammit.

Spider-man has had 4 bloody costumes and they got it right the first time.

Honestly, some modified Fantastic Four costumes would be fine to me.

And Spider-Man is 1 superhero, unlike X-Men who are composed of at least 5 superheroes.

I rather liked the uniformity of the uniforms - it increases the chance of me getting a full set of matching action figures and makes customising them easier!

I agree that the colours on the piping should be bolder - blue for Scott, green for Jean, white for Storm, and yellow for Beast. The X3 colours were a bit washed out because they didn't bother customising Angel (I think his badge might be light blue) or Rogue (in some shots she has a dark green badge) and they went for silver for Colossus instead of his Russian red and yellow. Some X-customisers have made figures with more traditional colours and they do look quite cool.

they had yellow and blue uniforms in Fallout

maybe something along those lines could work

I don't know what Fallout is, but those outfits remind me of the ones in FC, which I hope they don't bring back in any form.
