Crappy movies you watched in school

we didn't watch many movies in school.

these are the ones i seen in school. goor or bad.

psycho (original)
lords of the flies.
this movie where they build a bridge, it takes place during a war.
schindlers list (in like 7th grade)

and then sometimes in like law enforcement class. (I went to CIT for)

I'd just bring a lot of movies in and we watch them.

this movie where they build a bridge, it takes place during a war.

:wow: Bridge on the River Kwai :wow:

Holy crap, kids these days..........it is so much more then a movie where they build a bridge and it like..umm, like, takes place during a war and stuff.

I think I watched some Vietnam movie that was some sort of documentry and it possibly encouraged a few people I knew to join the army. Ironicly, the film was suppose to decourage people from doing that...but in my school, if killing something is appealing, they're going to do it.

Seems like we were always watching either Top Gun or Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom. Not that these are bad, but there's only so many times one can watch a movie without getting sick of it{mainly Top Gun}.

Movies I Remember watching in school. Both good and bad

Mortal Kombat
Street Fighter
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(1990)
Batman Returns
Home Alone
Home Alone 2
Dennis The Menace
Problem Child 2
The Land Before Time 1
Peter Pan
The Little Mermaid
Aladdin
The Lion King
Bambi
All Dogs Go To Heaven
The Brave Little Toaster
The Jungle Book
101 Dalmations(cartoon)
101 Dalmations(Live action)
Glory
Saving Private Ryan
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Jurassic Park

Schindler's list
Point Break
Tango Feroz
The Lion King

Try to find a pattern there... No wonder I'm so ****ed up...

There some other movies, I can't remember...

Drumline. My junior high band director loved that movie and it was one of the only ones he had.

I can't believe the movies some of you are labeling as "crappy." Just because you had to watch something in school and didn't like it, doesn't make it crappy. Schindler's List? Are you freaking kidding me? It's a hard movie to swallow, but it's the exact opposite of crappy.

And to TheApatowCrew, The Scarlet Letter did not have Winona Ryder, it had Demi Moore. Winona Ryder was in The Crucible, and I had to watch both of them sophomore year. The Scarlet Letter was alright, but The Crucible downright sucked donkey balls.

Hmmm... from what I can remember...

Grade School:

Charlotte's Web, multiple times and multiple schools... what is the fascination with that story?

The Incredible Jouney (yeah, believe it or not... ugh)

High School:

All Quiet on the Western Front and various other war movies

College:

Titus

Men of Respect

A few more:

The Neverending Story
Fortress
Once Were Warriors (this was in technical college, not pre-school)
Is that the movie where the school kids get kidnapped by the people in Halloween masks? If so I love that movie.

:wow: Bridge on the River Kwai :wow:

I know tat, the title of the film just slipped my mind.

We watched it in 12th english class. Thats where i watched most of those films i mentioned.

Oh, yeah, that's the one then. Yeah it was horrible.

Every math class up to Pre-Cal somehow had this movie playing. Even the characters seem like their going to fall asleep.

I loved this movie....watched it twice in High School

I remember watching the first Rush Hour movie in High School. Some people complained to princiable because they said "*****" in the movie...lol

Schindler's list
Point Break
Tango Feroz
The Lion King

Try to find a pattern there... No wonder I'm so ****ed up...

What?

And by the way, Point Break is the ultimate Keanu movie.

Wow, you people are damn lucky to watch some of these great films. I watch ****.

The old 50s or 60s version of Romeo and Juliet freshman year.
But we watched To Kill a Mockingbird the following year, so it was all good.

Sky High
I Am Legend
Romeo + Juliet
Big Momma's House 2
Star Wars Ep. 2
Batman and Robin
Outbreak
Shrek 3
The Day After Tomorrow
10,000 BC

Though one time in History, we watched this hilarious faux documentary which takes place in an alternate America where the south won the Civil War.

Movies with sex scenes that I got to watch in school: ;)
- Forrest Gump (if it counts)
- Gallipoli
- The Name of the Rose

does anyone know the name of that stupid movie with halle berry produce by oprah or something... based on a book..
ugh kill me.

the only movies my teachers have shown that were good(and based on books) were
Jumanji
Lord of The Rings
A Sound of Thunder
and that movie called something like gullivers travels...or w.e

I watched The Power of One in 7th grade. Not only is it very violent and depressing, not only is it poor history (and also apparently strays wildly from the book), but it's really not good a film (which could've made up for everything else). For ex, after an action-packed and death-filled climax, the protagonist walks off into the sunset in at a point in history that is essentially the beginning of Apartheid.

The Secret Garden in 7th grade, as well as Titantic

what else....The Ryan White Story, and some movie where the dad kept calling his kids "sportsfans", not sure what the name was

Blade Runner in film noir class
Visually stunning film, but besides the Tears in the Rain speech it was mad boring

Saw this once already. Not that bad, actually.

And one film I loathed that we watched was The Outsiders. There. I said it. And I LOVED the book too, but the adaption was just...ugh.

And, this might not count, but the "Miracle of Life" is...unspeakable, at least at the very end. Whoever says birth is a beautiful thing is ****ting themselves...so it would probably by the person doing the birth that's saying that. :o
