I was just looking thru "Fallen Son: Captain America", at the book shop. I just had a weird feeling about the state of comics today.

Gratuitous violence (I mean did Tony Stark have to be so violent? ) and what is up with the child endangerment????

I mean every other weapon had Black Panther written all over it. Now granted that stop short of putting kids dying in. But your brain can't help but fill in the blanks. And why do this?? Supply weapons to kids?? Are they trying to make 616 into an Ultimates universe?? Do they think violent things is some symbol of being "more adult"???

Man...I couldn't buy the book. I can't leave that laying around for my kids to pick up and look thru it. Some of this stuff is becoming Guns N Ammo! :csad:

^ you have kids?
I agree with your point
It does seem like comics are making a turn towards Violence.

Comics have always been about the Guns N Ammo, even back in the Silver Age. This is just the modern representation of all that.

Thank you.

Thus ends a PWN3R RANGER ******* moment of the day.

But back in the day comic books were never violent and never put kids in danger. Heck, even in the 90's comic book weren't this violent.

"Oh my god! A fully automatic gun! I'm traumatized!"

This thread is so controversial it makes me **** myself.

Guns N Ammo in comics isn't for shock value, it's the way people act. I mean I've heard people shoot ass and ***** in PG movies, it's time for you to get with the times. Especially when if your kids have never been exposed to guns than they would have no clue what $%^%^% is, would they? Answer the question, would they? This is just something that you chose to blow way out of proportion like always.

No you didn't and I could see right thru it.:woot: All your little smarmy comments about me being conservative and trying talk about my upbringing. You're just a cat with no class. You can't help yourself.

The things Darth is saying now are the same thing people said in the sixties, seventies, eighties and 90's about previous comic book eras. Things change, it's time to get with those times.:whatever:

Shazam!

And that stuff was saved mostly for those Vertigo, Dark Horse titles.....The main universe was pretty much free from that. Now the main universe looks like Vertigo.

you get this same theme in music, movies, and TV. maybe as society moves along we are moving closer and closer towards violence and decedence. It seems like both extreems are pushing eachother farther in both directions as reactions to eachother.
****ing pain in the ass as far as I'm concerned. burn the whole system down.

Should someone tell blud_knight about this circle jerk or do we continue do dance?

Spoken with all the rage and frustration of someone who truly doesn't give a crap. ;)

its days like this that I want to set fire to all of the pro life mother****ers on the planet. there would be a lot less jerks around
