jrpstarwars said:Disagree with Depp and Stewart. Jason isn't a real person. Possibly substitute William Shatner, Lenard Nimoy, and James Earl Jones(v.o.)
Patrick Stweart is like Mr. Sci-fi 1987-2006, He was captian of the Enterprise D, and Professor Xavier, how could he not be on the list?
Depp for being an amazingly successful and respected actor, has made numerous cult movies, Pirates is probably going to be the next star wars (don't take me literally, I mean by having both avid cult followings, and immense main stream success) plus he was Ed Wood, so that is cult cred in it's own right, he was Eddy Siccisors, he was in Cry Baby, Nightmare on Elm Street.
but in reality, and Cult hero is someone who has a fan base that will watch a movie because of him. Or they are the hero in a movie that has a hardcore fan base
in saying that Jason Voorhese is a cult hero, because F13 movies are generously only half of them are even watchable, but I own all 11, and I know most people who are like that, are like it because of Jason, or Michael Meyers. Quentin Tarantino would be a cult hero, Kevin Smith is for sure.
Some one mentioned Kurt Russell, and I will consider it, I mean come on the man was in Big Trouble in Little China for crying out loud, not to mention the Thing, and he is Snake, I think he will probably make the list.
Tim Curry star of Rocky Horror Picture show, probably the first ever movie to establish a cult following will most definatley go on the list.
Cult hero is almost undefinable, because they are more then likely stars of movies that underpreformed at the box office but has found large amounts of success, and stardom since it has come out on video, but they also can be mainstream hits to.
