Aside from the first bane versus batman scene the action in Tdkr really wasn't anything special IMO. But it wasn't an action movie, action has never been Chris Nolan's priority.

*sigh* yet another thread turns into a debate over Batman.

The battle for New York in Avengers. I had been waiting a long time to see my favorite team brought to life, and the tracking shot in the middle of the battle was pure gold. I could watch the battle a million times and still love the hell out of it. In fact I think I'm gonna watch it right now.

Expendables 2- The whole film.

I'm not a gore lover or one of those that want gore for gore's sake.
If Nolan made the fight as brutal as the comics it probably would've given the movie an R rating. It's probably part of the reason why he made it more psychological than physical. That approach works with his interpretation of Batman and Bane. But if Bane's getting used and you're adapting the fight scene where he breaks Batman then I'd expect it to be hard core brutal and bloody. Otherwise he shouldn't have used the character at all. Both fights in TDKR were tame for me by comparison to the comics.

I disagree. The fight was brutal enough for millions of fans out there. Just because we didn't get that monstrous spine-break from the comics doesn't mean Nolan failed to illustrate the immovable object destroying the unstoppable force. Chris did a stellar job selling the scene without gallons of blood being spilt and excessive violence. This is a franchise that attracts kids after all.

The R-Rated version of the scene is virtually the one found in the comics.

Thanks for the nominations folks! Poll will be up later. :)
