Since Hasbro isn't making the females anytime soon, or at least not through series 4, I thought I would try my hand at them. I want to get these casted so I can sell them to other people. That way, everyone can get the females they want. :yay:

All the figures will have only ball joint and cut articulation. I don't want any of them to have articulation with pins or discs because those will be a pain to cast.

Right now, I have begun making a basic female body and a basic male body that I will use for most of my customs. I will add little things to each body for characters that require it.

Heres what I have done with the female body so far:

Articulation when done:
balljoint neck
balljoint shoulders
cut torso
balljoint hips
balljoint knees

And heres the male body:

Articulation when done:
balljoint neck
balljoint shoulders
cut forearms
cut waist
balljoint hips
balljoint knees

The ball jointed knees will be able to bend like a real knee and also rotate in the socket. This provides maximum poseability out of the legs unlike Hasbro's figures whose knees dont rotate.

Here's a picture showing how the knees are:

The first female figure will probably be Emma Frost but I'm not sure who to make as the first male figure.

Which female and male figures would you like to see done?

I'm not going to do Cyclops becasue Hasbro has already made him. I want to focus on characters we may not get from Hasbro.

i dont know about a guy, but you should totally do some scarlet witch and polaris ones!

they never get any love!

oh which totally reminds me! why not make that male figure Quicksilver?

Quicksilver is a great choice! I think he may be the first male!
Only problem I forsee is that if one wanted to get him in a running pose, it would be nearly impossible without ball jointed ankles. I'm not sure if I can get ball joints small enough to fit in there. I will look various places and see what I can conjure up.

just wondering if you're still going to make these? i'd be interested in seeing how they turn out

yeah, I am but just not as quickly as I had hoped. A lot of expenses just came up and I am really busy with things right now. Then I am afraid that Hasbro will show a female figure at SDCC and it will be better than mine.
