Does anyone else find it hilarious that Esther went through all the trouble of making the white oak stake indestructible, turning Alaric into an original, getting Bonnie to give him her blood, and a **** load of other stuff........ but not prevent Alaric from burning in the sun?

Then again, maybe that's the plan. She said he would die after killing all of her children. A walk in the sunlight, should do it.

Bonnie: What the **** are you up to?
Alaric: RIP... again. I was hoping to see him tear **** up next season. Hope Cult gets picked up so we can see more of Matt Davis next season.
I was shocked to see them really kill off Klaus (even if he's now in a new body)
Hope Matt's okay. They did'nt really say anything about him. Then again, if he was dead, they would've said so.
Vampire Elena effectively eliminates the whole doppelganger blood plotline. So much for the damsel in distress crap. Now she can actually take care of herself... plus, I have to imagine she's got a bone to pick with a few people. Namely Rebekah.

Great finale. Mostly from an acting standpoint. Everyone brought their A game for the the dramatic moments especially Ian Somerhalder. He and Jensen Ackles from Supernatural should be getting more movie roles.

-Kinda pissed Alaric is dead. He was my 2nd favorite character after Damon. I always felt the even though they are the most obvious choices to die, imo, that he and Matt should live because they are the most "normal" RIP Ric
-Elena as a vampire. Hopefully, now she wont need as much protecting
-Damon's love life is so sad man. He gets passed over by one chick for his brother. Meets a girl that looks just like the first chick and again she chooses his brother over him.That whole phone conversation with Elena acting was really good. So sad, but he still kept his Damon demeanor

The thing about her choice between Damon and Stefan is that all that goes out the window now that [blackout]she's turned[/blackout]. She's gonna be all kinds of ****ed up, who know whether she'll want anything to do with either of them now?

i have to say i teared up a little at the end when ghost alaric appeared to jeremy.

klaus in tyler's body was a pretty ballsy move by bonnie.

also now that elena has become a vampire, she will remember that she met damon first and his 'i love you' from season 2, which should add some fuel to the triangle fire.

Just finished it and did not expect them to go there this early in the series. But wow that was a good finale, cant wait to see how they tackle next season and the series in general. I wonder if Bonnie will try to get back Elenas life somehow or I dont know this is just to much to handle this early in the morning. I fully expected them to go into the astral realm or wherever they go to save someone and for them to bring in the demons for season 4.

I am guessing he will just leave town. Because [blackout]Klaus[/blackout] should not be able to fool anyone & if he does. All of the characters on the show are ****ing stupid & Bonnie should die for doing that

I feel bad for Jeremy. Now he and Matt are the last surviving non supernatural people left. At least he won't have to worry about his sister being in mortal danger anymore. She can take care of herself now!

To be fair, it was either save Klaus or let Damon, Stefan, Caroline, Tyler and her mother die.

It was surprising, but it's not like she's just randomly starting shenanigans.
