I wonder how they are going to tackle Klaus as a reg since he is so powerful Bonnie is going to have nearly die every time they go up against him. They are either going to have seriously power up Bonnie or Damon or depower Klaus a little.

They will probably power up Damon. I think the angle of him being bitten by a werewolf is still not over.

If he does, Katherine will as well. She was also fed Klaus' blood.

Or... Klaus will continue to prove himself a magnificent prick and just manipulate/mess with the main characters and using them as his personal playthings rather than fighting them head-on.

I agree, they introduced it for a reason

but yea, you know what would be a lot cooler, if Jenna was still alive and Matt or Jeremy were the ones sacrificed instead

I hate that they kill off all the hot girls that come on this show

I hate it too but almost all of them deserved to die. Jenna was boring and never had anything to do with the main plot. I think it´s a shame they killed Rose. My Lauren Cohan obsession aside, she could have been way more interesting and should have been way more powerful.

In the first season of The Vampire Diaries, the troubled Vicki Donovan violently bit the dust after turning into a vampire and failing to keep a low profile, proving that if you want to join the living dead in Mystic Falls, discretion is everything.

It's a lesson that actress Kayla Ewell evidently took to heart, after the stealth mission that marked her return to the show in the Season 2 finale. "That's the most top secret job I've ever done in my life," Ewell told TV Guide Magazine at the MTV Movie Awards on June 5. "I couldn't even tell my brother and sister because they're both in college and I was really afraid that [it would end up on] Facebook and Twitter. So I literally told my mom and dad, and that was it."

In Season 3, Vicki will tend to "unfinished business with my brother, my boyfriend, my ex boyfriend, with so many people," says Ewell. "I'm coming back with a vengeance. It's going to get crazy."

Meanwhile, Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) will be dealing with repercussions of a different kind, after kissing Damon on his deathbed. "It's going to be interesting what happens next," Dobrev told us. "I really would like to see the whole play on Elena and Damon's relationship, what kind of repercussions and what kind of consequences there will be, and what kind of awkwardness there will be. There's so many ways it could go."

Dobrev thinks Elena's heart will always belong to Stefan, even if he's enjoying a taste of the dark side. "You always want what you can't have, and that's why for so long [the writers] have been keeping [Elena and Damon] apart because they want the fans to want what they can't have," she says. "Now that Stefan is gone Elena will want what she can't have and she'll miss him and wonder if he's ok, and I think it will make their relationship stronger."

So it looks like Vicki and Anna may be more than something only Jeremy can see.

Im fine with the cover. Espically when you look at Gossip Girl or 90210s dvd covers. They jusy chose a simple poster for the cover.

Though I mightve liked this better as the s2 dvd cover

So I'm a little late to the show, but I'm 3/4ths done with season 1 and i freakin' LOVE this show! I can't believe a show called "The Vampire Diaries" is actually pretty damn good. I almost almost like it better than True Blood (cause y'know True Blood's got nudity). But the plot and pacing of this show excellent and the characters are very well-developed (Ian Somerhalder was born to play Damon). Anyway, i'm trying to get up to speed as fast as possible in time for season 3!

If a show named Buffy The Vampire Slayer didnt teach you not to judge a show by its name I dont know what would.

Vampire Diaries fans, mark your calendars for September 15. That's The CW drama's third-season premiere — and a special day for Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev). "Our first episode is Elena's 18th birthday," spills exec producer Julie Plec. What's in store for the birthday girl?

"There will be a small time jump [from where last season ended] as we celebrate Elena's birthday," says Plec. "But as is the pattern in Mystic Falls, the event never reaches its climax." Elena will now be a senior in high school, but don't bank on a season-ending graduation.

Now that she's 18, "Elena and Jeremy technically don't need a parent living in their house [following Aunt Jenna's death]," says Plec. "She will be taking care of herself."

On the romantic front, might the show now capitalize on the real-life romance of Nina and Ian Somerhalder (Damon) and have their characters hook up? While Plec stresses she would never exploit her actors' personal lives, she hints that "over the course of the season, Elena will be struggling with a deep, deep attraction toward Damon. That's going to be a big problem for her." As will Rebecca, a yet-to-be-cast vampire from Stefan's "darkest ripper days who loves that Stefan's back to his bad behavior." She's not the only one.

While I know the Elena/Stefan/Damon love triangle is the main part of the show I really hope they move past it eventually and just let Damon or Stefan whichever ends up with Elena to move on with their lives and get a new love interest.

I dont know, they'd kind of be walking a fine line with that. If she ends up with Stefan again, they'd essentially be doing what they did for the first two seasons all over again. If she goes with Damon, they'd essentially be doing what they're doing on this season of True Blood, with Stefan as Bill and Damon as Eric.

They could always end up having her forsake the both of them and finding a new man, but the audience would inevitably end up hating the poor guy, and the writers will have just pulled a Riley Finn.

Lol I was already thinking of Riley before I even ended that sentence.

I liked him for the most part, but the guy never stood a chance.

He was just to whiny when it came to his relationship with Buffy. But since Elena isnt a superpowered girl who fights evil before bed time I think someone wouldnt have that problem if they dated her...except for all the vampires she attracts to her.

One thing I'd love to see if Elena had a human boyfriend who wasn't aware of all the supernatural stuff would be for them to pull the "Oh ****, it's really Katherine!" twist again. Have her screw him, kill him, turn him, whatever... they just need to be able to effective surprise us with the same twist twice over.

Or, she could just go celibate for awhile; being fed up of guys or what not. Just her and her gal pals.

Also, I wonder if the show will play up on Elena's sudden adult responsibilities and focus on bits like how the house has a lack of income. Or whether family friends might offer to 'take them in'.

I think the writers would just go with the "Stefan/Damon" give Elena money for the income or she is going to have some sort of trust fund.

Former 7th Heaven star David Gallagher will make a supernatural return to The CW.

The actor will play a werewolf named Ray Sutton on the first two episodes of The Vampire Diaries this fall, TVLine reports. And since nothing runs smoothly in the fang-centric drama, he'll of course encounter trouble in the form of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) while in Tennessee. Only two episodes? Let's hope he doesn't meet an untimely end!

Gallagher, 26, recently played the camera shop employee who loved good times and the older sister of Charles (Riley Griffiths) in this J.J. Abrams' big-screen action flick Super 8.

The Vampire Diaries stakes returns for Season 3 on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 8/7c.

Those words alone are pretty much a guarantee of a violent, grisly death.

Ya, they love killing off the guest characters in this show. But its so weird that I somewhat grew up watching him on 7th Heaven and he is only 3yrs older than I am.
