Comics Dan Slott's interview with Newsarama

But all they retconned was the wedding day.

You don't have to edit in your mind anything, because if they weren't married in the first place, then the deal would never have happened.

For me, I really don't care that they are not married. It's OMD that was brutal. Everything else isn't really that bad. At the same time, I think Sins Past would have been better with JMS' original idea.

Every comic I loved and reread from the wedding day through OMD I have to edit any marriage or wife reference in my mind. Any story dealing with MJ in trouble or struggling due to her husband being Spidey I have to edit in my mind to make it fit. About half of the Clone Saga has to be edited entirely. And yeah, there is still the timeline issue you bring up where if they never married then Mephisto wouldn't have had to come in to steal their love (which was never stolen apparently) and therefor OMD never happened, though it's OMD that makes it never happened... you get the idea.

And yeah, I think Sins Past would have been loads better if they were Peter and Gwen's kids.

That's why Gabriel looks exactly like Peter and NOT Norman....

I'd be okay if they retconned that to be how it was originally intended.

That would be awesome...
But because of the current American Son mini, it won't happen...
Speaking of the bastardized twins.... Where's Sarah?

What i really wanna knoow is where the Clone of Gwen is during all this stuff.... She disappeared at the end of Maximum Clonage Omega and hasn't been heard of or refrenced since...

Sarah is currently allied with Interpol in hopes of finding her brother...

I don't really agree. But maybe there is no answer to this.
The way I look at it is, all the stories still happened exactly the way they happened (I mean, they have to, because they have been published). I think to say that if you go back and re-read the wedding issue, but subbed in the new story - that would be ridiculous. Marvel can't edit the books you own.
All they did is made it so that Peter is not married to MJ so that they can tell future stories of a single Spider-Man. The stories where they were married still happened.
BUT if you asked post-OMD Peter & MJ what happened I'm sure they would tell you something different. But, I'm also pretty sure if you told J Jonah Jameson that he used to know who Spider-Man was he'd throw you out of his office. He would never let himself believe that he forgot something that important.

I've been reading it. It could be better. It could be way better.
I don't think we will know if its worth it till the end though... It's basically the age old mystery of "Who's taken up the guise of (insert super-hero/super-villain here) this time."
