Let me start off by saying that I HATE Dane Cook with the passion of the Christ.

I know he had signed up for this film and left in a huff because Bay refused to let him write a scene in which he fights his own car, but who was he supposed to play? And what place in the movie did he have?

I'd have to say thats my ulitimate favorite thing about this movie...NO DANE COOK.

...what...?

You didn't know about this?

No, I didn't start really following this movie until a few months ago. What do you mean, fight his own car? Like, he fights a Transformer?

he is the unfunniest dude alive

honestly all he does is go up there and say random **** thats it

than talks about some serious gay **** like how he masterbates and stuff

theres a reason why he never got famous till last year.... al those years he was never goodf!

look athim now

hes just now getting famous and hes almost 40 years old!!!

thats ****ing pitiful

I remember he was supposed to be in the movie at one point. I'm guessing he was supposed to be the cop that interrogates Sam in the beginning. The "Fiddy Cent" cop.

I had no idea he was supposed to be in the film. Here's an article (thanks to Jake to Prevail from imdb) from the LAist.com:

6:34 - Dane Cook visits us in the Blogghetto. Despite my lack of interest in his comedy, he seems like a laid back, personable dude. Even though I like capping on him, I really don't dislike him. He gamely answers questions, revealing why he won't be in the upcoming Transformers movie. "I know this is going to sound like complete balderdash," he says, "but the reason I'm not in Transformers is because I really wanted to be in a scene with a Transformer. But due to time and budget constraints, the director, Michael Bay, told me that couldn't happen. So I said, if I can't be in a scene WITH a Transformer, I just want to be a fan!" He reveals that his shirt did not cost $600, that in fact it probably cost about $17.50. It looks like he's telling the truth.

Yeah I heard it was cuz he wanted to be in a scene with Prime and to fight his own car.

Thank god Bay kiboshed that.

Dane cook is so unfunny in movies. In his standup he has his moments...but his movies blow ass. So I'm pretty glad that he wasn't in the final movie.

It wouldve been cool to see Megatron flick his character. IMO

i dont like bernie mac but i gotta say i was extremely surprised with how funny he was...

thats the funniest hes ever been..hands down

Here's hoping they can work him in in the sequel.

Dane Cook is hilarious, I don't know what all the hate is about.

Guess you guys have never heard Dane's joke about naming his kids after Transformers :D

"Optimus Prime, come here for a second, I wanna talk to you. Come here, you sit next to Megatron. We're gonna have a little chit chat right here."

:D
