^The "Hero's Theme" could also be a secondary JL theme.

Due to me needing context I won’t listen to samples/tracks prior to seeing the movie. And therefore am also avoiding any clips released online prior to watching the movie. I want to experience the score with the movie, which I tend to do with most movies anyway. So I’m withholding my opinion until after I watch the movie. If only the 2-CD set was released the same day as the movie instead of in December.

Also based off the track list I feel they padded the JL album to expand to 2-CDs. The three bonus tracks makes up all of disc 2. I would’ve omitted all the songs (including that cover of “Come Together”, which is probably available as a single on iTunes or any other digital download site anyway) that were included because I doubt each song will blend well the score. They should've replaced the edited versions of "The Tunnel Fight" and "The Final Battle" with the "Full Length Bonus Track" versions. I believe all of that would’ve managed to fit on a single disc.

They say his style isn't innovative or intricate enough compared to Zimmer and Junkie XL, then in the same breath, people complain about how weird and whimsical his stuff is.

I haven't found anything innovative or intricate about Junkie XL's scores so far. However, there was a very emotional and melancholic piece of music/theme from Run All Night that resonated with me after I saw the movie. I thought that was decent at least.

Soundtrack listing makes it pretty clear, doesn't it?

2. The Justice League Theme - Logos
3. Hero's Theme

I feel like I'm not gonna be able to resist listening to at least some of the score.

Yes he said in it in one of the interview. He said that the Zimmer Theme is there along the John Williams one. I will find it ;)

If Elfman had said he was going to use the DCAU themes in Justice League(BTAS, STAS, JL), would it have inspired the same amount of animosity? Because I always felt like DC fans were more open to references and connections to the animated shows than the pre-Nolan live action movies.

I really don't appreciate the insinuation that the only reason people like the old Batman and Superman movies and their scores is nostalgia. Plus, I am so over how overrated the DCEU is among its fans, how it's treated as the ultimate in drama, modernness, grittiness, seriousness, and all that crap, and how everything before it(except Nolan, of course) is too cheesy, too whimsical, too dated, blah blah blah. The DCEU in general really is not the be all, end all of superhero movies and WB could do much better.
Excuse me for having an opinion.

This and hearing the motif on the "Hope Never Dies" video makes me incredibly relieved.

The Superman films are lucky to have not one, but two legendary composers in John Williams and Hans Zimmer who have produced themes for DC’s most famous superhero—and Justice League star Henry Cavill agrees. With Justice League composer Danny Elfman bringing bits of the classic John Williams theme back in the new DC team-up film, Cavill’s version of the Man of Steel will now have been identified on screen by both iconic scores.

During Justice League’s press tour, Cavill spoke with Fox 5 and addressed his admiration for both musicians and their work.

“The Hans Zimmer score is so ingrained in my psyche now, and the emotions I felt while making [Man of Steel], the emotions I felt for the character and the emotions I felt while watching those trailers when they were happening was enormous. And so, that score holds something very special for me and always always will,” Cavill says. Of course, we hear a bit of Zimmer’s now-familiar score in the most recent trailer for Justice League, but we also know that references to John Williams are engrained in the music as well. Cavill continues: “At the same time the John Williams score is incredibly powerful, it’s a character all to itself, and to have both of those…I mean it’s genius. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.“

Nice! Don’t know how I missed that. Cheers buddy

My take from Cavill’s interview (and the interviewer) is that the Zimmer theme isn’t in this movie but was used in the latest trailer.

As much as I love the Williams theme and am fine with using it to some extent, I really do hope the Zimmer theme is in the movie. I’m with Cavill...it’s just so ingrained now. A modern classic imo.

"At the same time the John Williams score is incredibly powerful, it’s a character all to itself, and to have both of those…I mean it’s genius. I couldn’t have asked for anything better."

So it's genius for him to have them both : One in the trailer, and one in the movie? Uh, i dont get that, but we'll see.

That’s the only part that made me think it’s possible both are used in the film. But with interviewer (presumably having seen the film) saying “in the trailer” and also Elfman’s reluctance to have used Zimmer’s Batman theme...

Like you said, we’ll see. I’d be delighted with both!

If they leave MoS theme out I will be infuriated to no end. :cmad: Don't you dare Whedon. :cmad:

I don't know if this is legit or not, but someone posted a link to a track from the JL OST over at the DCEU leaks reddit.

Thanks for sharing, misslane. I like it. Mostly the soft, quiet ending @2:22. I should suggest that you delete the link, though. It's not allowed to share leaked stuff.

Not enough huge drums but otherwise very nice. :woot:

It reminds me a bit of Lord Of The Rings. Dunno why but I am happy as s**** right now xD
