I was bored until the middle of the Steppenwolf theme..Then it starts to feel very Spider-Man-ish (which I think is really the best 21st century superhero score)

I like the mournful transition near the end. The very last part actually sounds a little bit Elmer Bernstein-ish.

It's weird, because what sounds generic in JL sounds VERY generic, but the pieces that are steller feel more classic than what he's done for most of his recent soundtracks.

I will say this about JL. The soundtrack DOES NOT INCLUDE any Zimmer themes from MoS or BvS. HOWEVER, they are in the actual film. As such, many will be disappointed by the soundtrack (but not the film).

This is a proof of what Hans Zimmer said that producers actually do not interfere with a composer like at all. Otherwise they'd be like "WTF is that Avengers moment, get rid of that immediately!!!"

And this is why collaboration with other composers on one project is a good thing. Because your buddy would pass by you and say "Wtf were you thinking?"
Are Whedon and Elfman deaf? They both worked on Avengers firsthand, they both should know much better than anybody else how the Avengers theme sounds... This is really frustrating I have to say.
