Daredevil reboot: official discussion thread

I wouldn't turn my nose up at that cast, but I'm still baffled by why D'Onofrio keeps getting fancast as Kingpin a lot. I don't think he can rock big, bad 'n' bald at all.
Probably cuz of Full Metal Jacket and a couple other obscure things, but even with that I don't see him as Kingpin material either.

I keep seeing Michael Fassbender mentioned for Batman, but it just occurred to me that he would probably fit Daredevil even better (if he wasn't already playing a Marvel character for Fox, of course).

Fox is taking too long. marvel needs to play hardball and get the rights back with Disney's help. Give them the film/video rights to something Disney's been sitting on for years, something..

ryan gosling for daredevil

Is a good idea...

yea.or try to trade comic book rights like baseball cards.offer them the movie right to sentry for fantastic 4 and try to sell them on the idea of the next superman.

I'd be good with Fisk not even being in this reboot.

What DD villains can carry a movie besides Fisk though?

If they are going to base the movie around "Born again" as has been suggested in the past, they would need to have Kingpin in it.

I'd like to see the Gladiator in a Daredevil movie:

He would look cool and those spinning blades would definitely be memorable.

I just really want Turk to show up in the next Daredevil.

I currently want Bradley Cooper for Daredevil. It helps if you see Limitless.

Maybe a computer animated Daredevil movie would help. His red costume is hard to translate into a movie I think, and then get the audience to take him seriously. in animated movies the audience is already suspending their belief. It could be rendered to be as dark and gritty as a Maleeve (spelling?) drawing.

While I didn't like some of the design choices in the DD movie costume it being red was not an issue.

CGI animated movies will likely never happen for any character. Unless, say Pixar really wants to do one.
