No offense, MOS, but I'm not digging any of those suggestions. Well, bar one.

I disagree with the Fox choice for D/D (I don't think my choice for D/D is much of a secret going by my sig ),

I truly can't stand Angelina Jolie,

Brian Blessed won't really be anything other than the amazingly jovial heavy bearded man that we know and love him as (I'd rather they just simply brought MCD back),

And if Depp was to take on any role as a Marvel character I'd prefer it to be Dr.Strange.

Astin as Nelson I could take though.

Daredevil doesn't need costly high profile actors and don't need to reuse the characters of the last movie except for Kingpin.

What's needed:
1. Good director
2. Good script made by someone other than the director (hint: consult with Brubaker/Bendis/eh, if all fails Frank Miller).
3. Good lead actor
4. Good villains with motivations
5. 100 million budget

That's fair enough. Not everyone has to agree about everything on the boards.

I'm assuming that you have watched 'Dexter' at some point though?

i saw the trailer for the new season or something a few days ago but i never watched an episode, should i?

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, it's one of the the best things on tv. Quality writing and acting. Full of suspense and twists (not to mention dark humour)

I'd advise to go from Season 1 onwards and I guarantee you'll be hooked.

I would like Billy Crudup as Matt Murdock.
I would like to see no Elektra.
Maybe James Gandolfini as Kingpin, bc realistically getting a good actor at that size that looks like the character is tough.

I am fully in the Michael C. Hall camp for DD... Mathew Fox looks good for something like Cyclops.

I like MDC staying on for King Pin, though Gandolfini is an interesting notion. But I can't see him really pulling off any action sequences... He is big, and VERY "gangstery" but not believeable as having muscular bulk (which is what Wilson Fisk is). Gandolfini just looks fat.

Depp would be WAY under-utilized as Bullseye. He is right for something more deep and dramatic, like Dr. Strange. Someone like Cole Hauser, or another physical actor would be right for Bullseye.

I personaly don't want a rehash of the same villains in the next Daredevil whenever that's made. But if they have to use Kingpin again then use MCD. He did a good job.

Shouldn't Devil, Elektra and the whole DD supporting character list have gone back to Marvel by now? It's been close to 4 years since Elektra came out without any new stuff from Fox on the subject. Hulk only took 3 years of inactivity for Universal to lose him.

Thats why Fox is now interested in a reboot. The contract must be coming to a close and they are attempting to keep the rights. Thats the only reason Cormans original Fantastic Four was put into production; to keep the contract.

I wonder why they're so eager to keep it? They never made great money with the DD franchise. DD made less than 200M WW and Elektra made much less than 100M. X-Men and FF are much bigger fish for them. You'd figure Marvel would've learned from the Corman fiasco and put it in the contract that merely starting production just to keep the rights wasn't legit. They need to make a real movie or lose it(hopefully the latter).

They're eager to keep it cuz obviously they think they can make more money on it. Comic movies are really huge now.

^ Seems logical... if there is a chance to do better financially, I can see them wanting to hold on... but the point of it all is, those numb-nuts have to do a better job.
