Daredevil Recast

I personaly don't want a rehash of the same villains in the next Daredevil whenever that's made. But if they have to use Kingpin again then use MCD. He did a good job.

They could use Larry Cranston's Mr. Fear. He could be Kingpin's proxy while he's in jail.

They're eager to keep it cuz obviously they think they can make more money on it. Comic movies are really huge now.

They may think that but doing it are completely beyond their abilities at this point.

Guy Pearce will never do a superhero movie unless it's with Chris Nolan.

Michael C. Hall Would be great.

Another vote for Hall... but I have to admit, Ethan Hawke is a very interesting suggestion. I have forgotten about him. He is a very talented actor, and would be a good player to fit in there somewhere (perhaps in the Avenger cast... Hawkeye perhaps... or as Johnny Blaze in a much needed Ghost Rider reboot).

Ive always seen Hawke as JAson Bard in the DC world but I doubt that character will ever make it to screen

Fox is going to get a TV actor when Chiklis did good as the Thing. So "Dexter" can be in if he pass the screen test.

The question is who's going to be the Kingpin. This is going to be a total reboot (not that I like completely), so MCD is most likely out.

I think it'll be petty hard finding someone who looks heavy but is actually strong. As long as skin remains nonspecific Ving Rhames could be good. Hes shorter than MCD but a better actor and he still kinda looks heavy but is actually strong. If a white guy came to mind I would mention him but at the moment none do.

Reboot as in a redo??? Meaining a new origin film??? or moving on with a retconned past ala TIH???

Matt Damon or Michael C. Hall.

Forget Matt Damon...while he wouldn't be bad, it is a ridiculous choice, as the public sees him so closely knit to Ben Affleck. In fact, on that basis alone, Matt Damon is the second-worst choice on the planet, next to Affleck himself. Great job.

Uh, a good actor who's a white guy in a fat suit would work just fine. Kingpin doesn't go around shirtless much anyway and there's no need for him to do so. There, I've just opened up a whole range of actors for ya.

Fat suits are cheap looking and would only increase the make-up budget. Why go to such a length?

I like Ethan Hawke more as a replacement for Edward Norton if he doesn't come back for the Hulk.

It would be smarter to use someone who is a talented rising star but not yet a big star. That's why I agree that Michale C. Hall is a good choice with you guys.

But me, I would like Billy Crudup to play him. He may be too small though.

McKidd is Banshee. Crudup is Simon Dark. Hall is Daredevil

In the 80s, Brando would have been perfect as Kingpin.

Remember the old Hulk/Daredevil movie? It had John Rhys Davies as Kingpin.

They're only cheap if they aren't done well, which is how most shows have approached using them. And even a really good one isn't going to add that much to the budget. This is not overly expensive CGI we're talking about here. And the advantage is obvious, they then will be able to work from a much larger pool of actor possibilities. Get a good actor who's a white guy and who's fairly tall(at least 6'4"), have him shave his head and stick the suit on him. There's your Kingpin. There's no reason it couldn't work.

Didnt say it couldnt work. Im saying you could easily find someone that you dont have to go to all this trouble. And no, make-ups not the same as CGI, but a fat suit of Kingpin capacity will have to be handled by 2-3 make-up artists on to the actor and possibly a stunt double using a lot of prostethics that have to be taken off and reapplied every shooting day. Each of the people involved including the high priced actor will be getting paid while on set doing so. That can run up a budget when they could just find a heavy set good actor and not do anything.

well Kingpin would always be wearing a suit over top of the fat suit so its not like the fat needs to look real. just the areas where skin is actually showing
