Good to see a positive thread. I think the news and speculation thread shouldn’t be full of negativity as there’s a skepticism thread but people won’t stop talking negative or about other things so at least there’s a place for some positivity for the time being. I’m super pumped for this because I really love this cast. I’m nervous about Kinberg but I wanna wait to see trailers, pictures etc

if disney buys fox then 90% that x-men go under control of feige at marvel studio which will end X-men CInematic universe for MCU reboot.

And if that doesn't happen? Just seems a little premature to me. Especially since even if it does happen, we'll still get Deadpool 2, New Mutants & Dark Phoenix. So you're end date shouldn't be until all three of those films have been released.

novemebr 2 2018 is when dark phoenix is released.

I don't really believe in "positivity threads." Always seems a little overly protective. With that said? Sure. It's nice to have one thread on this board that is not incessant complaining.

What are the positive elements?

A. The greatest quality CAST in a cinecomics by far

1. Fassbender. He is one of the greatest actor of the new generation
2. Jessica Chastain: great actress and very attentive of his female roles.
3. Jennifer Lawrence: great actress, maybe her last movie, i hope for a great performance
4. McAvoy: another very good actor, i like him, he seem put great heart in Charles (for me in Days he was one of the best supporting of the year, he deserve a nominee to oscar)
5. the young ones are all promising, in particular Tye Sheridan. (but i like much also Shipp and I prefer her Storm to the Halle Barry one)

b. STORY

Dark Phoneix is a great sotry.
Kinberg will change something obviously, but he made a false step with X3, he will learn from his mistakes.

c. CINEMATOGRAPHER

I like very much Sigel, and in pst movies he delivered great scenes.
Fiore is a good replacement and he can works both in realistic scenes as in more SFX ones (he won an Oscar for Avatar)

My positives are the cast and the support behind Kinberg. Also the time in post production. FC, DoFP and Apocalypse had very short post production periods which deinfitely showed in moments through the films. DP has a nice long one when where they can build marketing, focus on effects, have time for reshoots etc. I’m not puting all my faith in Kinberg but I’m remaining fairly positive at this point because I still love this franchise and want it to fix itself with some issues. And I’m hoping this will happen in DP.

I hope the young X-Men get a good opportunity to show what they can do. Sophie Turner is capable if they give her the right material. Really hope Tye Sheridan is given a big role as his reactions will be key. And looking forward to more from Shipp and Smit-Mcphee.

Yay a positivity thread. I'm not even saying the movie has to be good but it really does have quite a few great parts that I am excited for the possibility of.

and so annoying to see good news from the movie being muffled by "I want soon in mcu"
I'm very excited about this movie, it seems to be very well organized, simon seems to be very attentive to the quality of the effects, so far nothing has leaked, this is already something to applaud, has no doubt the best technical team of all films x-men, I'm looking forward to the first trailer.

Just to give props to Siegel, his work on the previous film is underrated. Apocalypse is a beautiful film. It seems like they really embraced the colorful comic book look for that film. It kinda reminded me of the cinematography for Punisher: War Zone.

yep.look for those who didn't like apoclaypse and want best film to be better
i disagree.my big disagreements is with those who say after apocalypse all films is terrable or let's just give up.just saw film again this weekend and again liked it.

as for dark phoenix hopefully simon kinberg doe shis best with the risk fox taking giving hi regins.
