Dark Souls II

If that's dumbed down, I don't want to see hard.

A tweet I made during the show yesterday has really stuck with me in terms of my feelings for it: "Right I don't want to see anymore. It looks fine. It looks like they're doing a good job. Go. Make it. Bring it to me"

All that needs to be said. When it comes I will absorb it into my gut and be a better human for it.

The game really isn't that hard. It just forces you to look at dying in video games in a different way. Its more annoying than anything else. You spend all this time getting to a boss, get one hit killed then go, ooooh, ok, i see how its done. Then ya just gotta go through everything again to see if your trial and error works this go round.

I think the series is one of the more overrated projects to hit the industry in a long time, but one thing i have to give it credit for, is it makes enemies actually threatening. Too few games have the player character as the strongest, most bad ass dude in the game, NOT this series.

Id say give the game a shot man. It can prob be had on the cheap.

I agree.

Lol, that's pretty much how dying was in early games, particularly when arcades were king. Basically, what you're saying, is that it has a classic gameplay design as opposed to a modern one. That probably is a big appeal for a lot of the audience.

I want it to, but there is no way I'm not playing it when it launches so I probably won't get it on the PS4.

I'm finally trying to play through Demon's Souls for the first time. I bought and played Dark Souls to death, but never got too far into Demon's Souls, so I'm going to finish it in preparation.

Where are you in the game?

I've finished 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 3-1, 4-1, and 5-1. I'm going through 3-2 right now because it's the best place to get Moonlight shards, so I can upgrade the Moon Winged Spear I'm using.

I started the game twice before and am just now getting to stuff that I haven't done before. Valley Of Defilement sucked because of the lack of a good boss shortcut and Blighttown flashbacks.

If I'm remembering correctly there's an area in Valley of Defilement that makes the game take an even worse FPS hit than Blighttown. So enjoy that I guess.

I've got mine preordered for the PS3.

but, if I hear it's coming out on PS4 before then, I'd definitely make the switch.
