Dark Souls - Prepare to die.

I haven't been invaded in Dark yet, but was plenty in Demon's. Not sure if not being invaded is luck or not though since PVP fights can become epic struggles.

I spent most of the game Hollow because I didn't really want to get invaded. I only Reverse Hollowed to grab someone else for a boss fight and would usually get invaded while trying to summon someone, always a pain.

I dunno, the PVP aspect of Dark Souls is not something I'm interested in.

I love it. As long as it's someone close to my level it's great. Dark Souls is some of the most fun and intense multiplayer I've ever experienced.

Ornstein and Smough are jerks.

They really really are. I almost always summoned people to help out with that one. Just a heads up, you can buy the armor of whoever you kill last. They are both fantastic armor sets.

I don't like to rely on summoning people for boss fights because it almost feels like cheating with how easy it makes them. Which isn't to say I'm above it. I've taken out more than a few bosses that way, I just like to give it a solid effort first.

I'm pretty sure I can do this one by myself. My last attempt, I almost killed Smough and I would have had him, but I got stuck in a wall. :/ Having said that, it would probably be a good idea to summon someone because I've got like 100k souls riding on this fight.

So you haven't been able to take out either yet? You're in for an unwelcome surprise.

Maybe. But they're in for an unwelcome surprise of their own. I haven't even used my crystal halberd on them yet, which does like twice the damage of my normal weapon. :o

I started this, got to a save point without dying and am now putting it away for a while. Zero deaths so far! :woot:

This is a game that I will probably pop back in every few months and start a fresh character. I know the route to beating it by heart. Such a fantastic game. :woot:

Have any of you ever been forced to restart the entire game?

This game is hard enough as it is but they decide to go that extra mile and make so your weapons take damage and need repairs.

I've restarted the game because I wanted to for various reasons, but I've never been forced to. What are you getting at?

I beat the first boss in Demon Souls, the sludge monster. I get to the second level with those monsters mining the rocks. I get fairly far and die, die again before I can reach the point I died at the first time and now my only good weapon is broken for the most part and I have 0 souls. I tried grinding the first level but that got annoying real quick with a low level of healing items.

Do you have any of those soul items in your inventory? Like "Nameless Soldier's Soul" or "Legendary Hero's Soul" anything like that?

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mrk:

- The remake runs at 1080p on the PS4 and Xbox One with 60 FPS.

- Clarifying since people get ahead of themselves: We are not confirming different mechanics (besides 6 players) or specifics on the game itself. This is a “remake” of the game using Dark Souls 3’s engine base. Expect Combat differences accordingly – Lightning, SFX and textures are rebuilt based on Dark Sousl 3.

- The Official website reads: “We are keeping the game design with its overwhelming sense of accomplishment and maintaining game balance, whilst making adjustments for current generation machines such as graphic optimization and online multiplayer expansion“.

- Native 4k resolution on PC.

- Remaster renders upscaled 4K on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One while the PC version will feature resolution upto native 4K.

- The remaster will feature up to 6 player online, like Dark Souls 3.

- The multiplayer now has dedicated game servers rather than p2p.

- The remaster includes the DLC Artorias of the Abyss.

Oh, that's pretty awesome. Maybe I can finally get into it.

I never actually beat the first dark souls game, I remember getting pretty deep into it but then I got side tracked by other games and never got back to it. This will give me an excuse to jump back in.

Well, I plan to get this so if anyone wants to play together on PS then let me know.

Edit: AND THEY BETTER FIX THAT ****ING SLOWDOWN IN BLIGHTTOWN!

I'd consider getting the Amiibo just for the hell of it despite not having a switch.
