Dark Souls II

A game developed by From Software not meant to be a franchise? I'm going to have to see the receipts on that one.

I'm ok with the Souls series being a franchise. I just can't give a **** about a third Dark Souls game, unless Miyazaki is heavily involved.

EDIT: Example: New Whatever Souls game, with different mechanics and themes. Kinda like how Demon's Souls was different from Dark Souls.

I'd heard rumors this was being announced at E3 and I'm super stoked.
I've been enjoying Bloodborne quite a bit but there's something about the Souls series that I just enjoy more.

Yeah I love Bloodborne, but I do enjoy Souls just a little more.

I feel like there's more secrets to stumble across in the Souls games, more NPC's, just more in general really. and I really dislike the summons system in Bloodborne. You can ring your bell and wait forever for someone to show up where in the Souls games you can see by someones marker if they are waiting to be summoned.

I can't say I'm disappointed about this, because that would be way too strong a word for how I feel, but I do wish they would have created a new setting instead of going back to European medieval fantasy again.

Like, it would have been cool if they would have instead taken inspiration from Japan/Asia in this one.

I like that idea. I would probably give something like that a try. I just can't get into European medieval styled fantasy stuff.
